POSITION/ROLE OVERVIEW
The Front of House area at the College of Performing Arts seeks a highly motivated student to serve as an Usher. We’re looking for responsible, personable, communicative, and punctual individuals to support initiatives within the Front of House area. This position reports to the Manager of Event Operations and is an ideal position for students who are interested in a career in the performing arts, events, and production.
This position is open to student applicants with Federal Work Study awards.
CORE CAPABILITIES, PRIMARY DUTIES, AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Greet patrons and answer questions
Distribute printed programs to patrons
Assist patrons in finding their seats
Check in patrons using our app-based check-in system
Execute stage changes for classical recitals when assigned
Additional responsibilities as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
Background and education in the performing arts
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
2 years usher experience
2 years experience in customer service
Recipient of Federal Work Study award
WORK MODE
This position is primarily in-person and is based on campus to support effective in-person collaboration and engagement. #LI-DNI
HOURLY RATE: $17.00
Hours per Week: 3-20, or as needed. Not to exceed 20 hours in a single workweek while classes are in session.
