POSITION: Facilities Supervisor
DEPARTMENT: Operations
REPORTS TO: Asst. Manager, Manager, and Director of Operations
FLSA STATUS: Full-Time / Non-Exempt
VENUE(S): The Oncenter
PAY RATE: $22.18/hour
HOURS: Full-time, 40 hours per week. Must have unrestricted availability and be able to work any scheduled shift, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

THE ROLE
The Facilities Supervisor supports the day-to-day operation of The Oncenter by supervising Facilities employees and coordinating venue setup, cleaning, maintenance, and event-related activities. This position assigns and monitors work, provides direction and training to employees, ensures facilities are prepared according to event requirements, and responds to operational issues as they arise. The Facilities Supervisor works closely with Operations leadership and other departments to maintain safe, clean, functional, and event-ready facilities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervise, direct, and support Facilities employees during assigned shifts.
Assign daily work and event-related responsibilities, monitor progress, and adjust assignments based on operational needs.
Inspect completed work to ensure venue setups, cleaning, and maintenance activities meet established standards and event requirements.
Provide employees with training, coaching, and performance feedback; promptly communicate performance, conduct, or attendance concerns to Operations management.
Review event information, room diagrams, and setup requirements and communicate assignments clearly to Facilities employees.
Coordinate venue conversions, event setups, breakdowns, and cleaning activities to ensure work is completed safely and on schedule.
Respond to operational concerns during events and escalate significant safety, staffing, facility, or client issues to management.
Enforce company policies, safety procedures, collective bargaining agreement requirements, and departmental standards.
Maintain accurate shift logs, inspection records, equipment records, and other operational documentation as required.
Perform and assist with event setup and breakdown, including flooring, chairs, operable walls, barricades, staging, tables, and related equipment.
Operate equipment necessary to maintain and prepare the facility, including pallet jacks, forklifts, floor scrubbers, and other power-driven equipment, when properly trained and authorized.
Perform and assist with cleaning and janitorial duties, including restroom cleaning and restocking, sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, trash removal, carpet cleaning, window washing, and floor care.
Perform snow removal, groundskeeping, minor maintenance, and other general labor activities.
Ensure facilities are properly prepared, maintained, and restored before, during, and after events.
Assist clients, guests, vendors, and visitors as needed.
Attend and participate in planning, training, safety, and staff meetings.
Maintain safe, secure, clean, and sanitary working conditions.
Report to work as scheduled, on time, and in the required clean and proper uniform.
Maintain personal appearance and grooming consistent with the applicable dress code.
Perform other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or GED equivalent
Previous experience working in an event set-up or related field preferred.
Work effectively under pressure and produce accurate results in a fast-paced environment.
Professional appearance and attitude are essential.
Have a working knowledge of hand tools.
Forklift certification a plus.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Strong Supervisory Skills, including team leadership, coaching, and performance oversight.
Hands-on experience in Facility Operations within venues, events, hospitality, or a related environment.
Ability to understand and communicate clearly with clients and coworkers.
Must be self-motivated with the ability to work individually and in a team-oriented, fast-paced, event-driven environment.
Knowledge of safety, compliance, and best practices in venue or event operations.
Proficiency with basic office software and operational systems.
Relevant education or training in operations, hospitality, business, or a related field; prior supervisory experience strongly preferred.
Must be able to maintain reliable attendance.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Must be able to walk/stand/sit for long periods of time.
Must have the physical ability to maneuver around the venue, at times walking and/or standing for 8-10 hours or greater, climbing stairs, lifting and carrying 50 lbs+, and frequent bending, reaching, kneeling, squatting.
Must have the physical ability to bend, stoop, and maneuver around facility(ies), at times extensive walking and/or standing for 8-10 hours or greater as required.
Ability to exert well-paced mobility to move quickly to the different areas of the facility as demands require.
Ability to work in a noisy, fast-paced environment.
