Position Summary:
Responsible for day-to-day support to Southern IL University School of Medicine’s graduate medical education program and serve as Memorial Medical Center’s liaison with resident physicians. Embodies the Memorial Health System Performance Excellence Standards of Safety, Courtesy, Quality, and Efficiency that support our mission, vision and values.
Qualifications
Education:
Associate’s degree in business or related field required. A high school diploma coupled with two to three years experience in residency coordination or similar experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
Experience:
- Two to three years experience in residency coordination or equivalent is required.
- A minimum of five years executive secretarial experience required.
- Word processing/computer skills required. (Minimum typing speed of 60 wpm.)
- Knowledge of the Essentials of Graduate Medical Education required.
- Knowledge of medical terminology required.
- Excellent verbal and communication skills are required.
- Proven team player.
