Senior Materials Planner- Melbourne-based (Hybrid)

 

The Role

 

Join Bega Group as a Senior Materials Planner and play a key role in supporting the Supply Chain through the execution of materials planning strategies. This is a hands-on leadership role, combining operational planning responsibilities with the leadership, coaching and development of a team of three Materials Planners. You'll partner with sites, suppliers and key stakeholders to drive service outcomes, inventory optimisation and continuous improvement across a fast-paced FMCG environment.

 

Responsibilities

  • Act as the first point of escalation for material supply issues and facilitate problem-solving activities across your category.

  • Manage inventory holdings, monitor supply risks and ensure proactive communication with key stakeholders.

  • Coordinate new product development and change activities while managing obsolescence risks.

  • Build strong partnerships with suppliers, sites and internal teams to improve planning outcomes and business performance.

  • Drive continuous improvement, cost avoidance and value creation initiatives across the supply chain.

 

About You

  • Experience in materials planning, supply planning, inventory management or a similar supply chain role

  • Strong working knowledge of ERP systems and M3, data management and planning processes

  • Proven ability to work autonomously, lead small teams and make decisions in a fast-paced environment

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams

  • A continuous improvement mindset with strong problem-solving and project management capabilities
