Job Overview:
The Associate Client Compensation Consultant - Service is responsible for assisting with inbound calls as well as researching and resolving cases regarding compensation inquiries received via phone and email. This role partners closely with other teams within Client Compensation and related business units to research and resolve issues.
Responsibilities:
- Fielding inbound calls and proactively asking probing questions to offices to assist with full spectrum of inquiries.
- Researching and following through to resolution on cases created from inbound calls and emails.
- Assuming ownership of complex situations, setting expectations, and taking appropriate actions to resolve inquiries in a timely manner - such as initiating outbound calls and emails to third-party sponsors and carriers.
- Supporting teammates and the department on other compensation tasks and activities such as training and backup to staff. Also, assisting in the training of new hires and fielding complex inquires received via phone and email.
- Assisting with initiatives to improve and enhance the Advisor experience while positively impacting the broader LPL organization.
- Providing consultation to offices and internal business partners to educate on commissions structures.
- Educating and consulting with advisors and their staff on the use of technology and reporting any issues to increase efficiencies.
- Outreaching to advisors proactively and on time in regard to sensitive activities - such as billing events, tax season prep, etc.

Requirements:
- 3+ years in customer service related or comparable industry
- 2+ years of experience and proficiency in Microsoft excel (pivot tables experience)
Core Competencies:
- Proven success working in customer service related field
- Understanding of the advisor role
- Organizational and critical thinking skills
- Strong verbal and written skills
- Excellent phone communication and listening skills – with a focus on understanding each advisor’s unique needs
Preferences:
- Team lead, managerial, or supervisory experience highly preferred
- Experience within the financial services industry
- Customer service background with ability to provide excellent experience to clients
- Experience taking inbound calls and making outbound calls talking to advisors
- Experience with tools such as Dynamics, Client Works, and Oracle would be a plus
- Experience with compensation and making corrections would be a plus
- Varicent experience would be a plus
- Bachelor’s degree in finance
- SIE certification
