Context and why we are recruiting?
The Centre for Financial and Monetary Systems (FMS) engages many leading global and regional institutions from the financial services and investing industries, along with other key stakeholders. To strengthen this engagement, we are recruiting a Specialist, Content and Centre Engagement to support the Centre's strategy and operations team. This is a cross-cutting role covering community engagement, communications, and operations. It spans the Centre's workstreams and communities, including its Chief Financial Officers Community, and supports the Centre's mission and partner engagement so its work reaches partners and stakeholders effectively.
Reporting line and how is this role embedded in the wider team?
This role reports to the FMS Strategy and Operations Lead and sits within a cross-functional team that drives strategy, communications and programming across the Centre for Financial and Monetary Systems. As a cross-cutting role, it works closely with multiple teams and communities across the Centre, helping extend the Centre's reach and deepen engagement with partners and the wider community. The role partners with the Programming and Communications Lead to shape messaging and bring the team's work to life through compelling materials, and with the Centre Coordinator to keep the Centre's operations running smoothly.
What will you be responsible for?
Engagement
- Coordinate the planning and execution of Centre events, including logistics, invitations and follow-up communications
- Support the Centre's Chief Financial Officers Community, including maintaining community records, researching priorities, and drafting agendas
- Contribute to ad hoc analysis tracking engagement metrics and impact across the Centre's stakeholders
Content and Communications
- Produce partner-facing materials, including newsletters, event overviews and invitations, as well as materials for internal colleagues across teams
- Draft talking points, social media kits, media-facing content, and other materials to advance the Centre's messaging
- Contribute to the Centre's digital presence, including website content, social media and other channels
- Support research for the team's projects, including community engagement research, note-taking, and Centre initiatives
Operations
- Support the coordination of Centre budgets, contracts and vendor logistics, working closely with the Centre Coordinator
- Co-own the Centre's Salesforce database, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records of the community and partners
- Maintain internal knowledge tools and team records
What core knowledge, skills and experience are we looking to add to our team?
Domain Knowledge and Experience
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in communications, international relations, marketing or a related field
- 2+ years of relevant experience in community management, communications or partner engagement, ideally within a global or multi-stakeholder environment
- Familiarity with Salesforce or other CRM/database management tools is an asset
- Interest in and understanding of global affairs, public-private cooperation and the Forum's mission
Core Skills
- Strong written communication skills, with the ability to produce clear, polished materials for varied audiences
- Advanced proficiency in PowerPoint and experience with Canva or similar visual design tools, with the ability to create polished, executive-level presentations and communications materials.
- Demonstrated ability to leverage AI and other digital tools to enhance productivity, streamline workflows and produce high-quality outputs
- Sound judgment and discretion when handling sensitive or partner-facing communications
- Ability to navigate ambiguity and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment
- Exceptional organizational skills and a strong work ethic
- Knowledge of, or a willingness to learn about, the financial and monetary systems, finance and investing industries
- Self-starting, independent thinker who thrives as a flexible team player
- An enthusiasm to collaborate with people from a diverse range of cultures and backgrounds
