Summary:
In this role, you will serve as the central coordination point for technology programs within a defined domain of Vizient’s technology portfolio. You will lead a portfolio of complex engineering initiatives, partnering with engineering, product, and business leaders to translate strategic priorities into coordinated technology programs. You will drive execution across multiple teams, strengthen governance and visibility, manage dependencies and risks, and ensure technology investments remain aligned with product priorities and business strategy.
Responsibilities:
- Lead execution, integrated planning, and coordination for a portfolio of engineering initiatives supporting a defined technology domain.
- Partner with engineering, product, and business leaders to translate strategic objectives and priorities into coordinated technology programs, roadmaps, milestones, and execution plans.
- Drive program planning, milestone tracking, prioritization, and cross-team coordination across engineering, data, AI, platform, and other technology teams.
- Identify and manage complex dependencies across engineering, corporate IT, product development, R&D, and related functions to mitigate risk and enable successful delivery.
- Establish and maintain program governance, including roadmap alignment, progress reporting, risk management, escalation paths, and executive visibility.
- Coordinate technical workstreams involving data platforms, analytics capabilities, AI-enabled technologies, and other solutions incorporated into engineering roadmaps.
- Support responsible AI governance and alignment when AI capabilities are incorporated into technology programs and initiatives.
- Develop executive-ready communications that provide clear visibility into program status, priorities, risks, dependencies, decisions, and delivery progress.
- Facilitate collaboration across product, engineering, architecture, and business teams to remove blockers and influence alignment on priorities, resources, and execution.
- Advance the Office of the CTO’s technology program management practice through scalable approaches while maintaining awareness of emerging AI-enabled and data-driven technologies relevant to healthcare supply chain and spend management.
Qualifications:
- Relevant degree preferred.
- 7 or more years of relevant experience required.
- Demonstrated experience leading portfolios of complex technical or engineering programs involving multiple teams, workstreams, and dependencies.
- Strong experience partnering with engineering, product, technology, and business leaders to translate strategic priorities into executable programs.
- Experience with program governance, roadmap alignment, portfolio prioritization, risk management, dependency management, and executive reporting.
- Technical fluency across areas such as software engineering, data platforms, analytics, AI-enabled technologies, cloud platforms, or enterprise technology.
- Understanding of responsible AI governance and considerations associated with incorporating AI capabilities into technology initiatives.
- Strong executive communication, facilitation, relationship-building, and influencing skills with the ability to drive alignment without formal authority.
- Ability to navigate complex organizational environments, manage competing priorities, and provide clear visibility into portfolio health and execution.
- Knowledge of emerging technologies and data-driven solutions relevant to healthcare supply chain and spend management preferred.

At Vizient, we consider skills, experience, and organizational needs in our compensation approach. Geographic factors may adjust the range estimate and hires typically fall below the top range. Compensation decisions are tailored to individual circumstances. The current salary range for this role is $135,200.00 to $236,600.00.
