POSITION/ROLE OVERVIEW
The Consortium seeks a New School student for 10 hours per week to assist with a variety of projects. Students who will be enrolled for more than one year are preferred; the schedule is flexible, though students will be expected to maintain regular office hours to complete standard office tasks. Responsibilities will include administrative and logistical support for Consortium programming and events such as outreach to potential Consortium members, supporting the weekly Scholar Seminar, helping to coordinate a Scholar Lecture Series,
research into prospective partner organizations and/or funders, posting on social media.
CORE CAPABILITIES, PRIMARY DUTIES, AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Document creation and maintenance
• Assisting with phone and email campaigns to promote the Consortium and related events
• On-site staffing at events, including ushering and other coordination during evening and morning hours, as needed
• Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
• Familiar with Microsoft Office, Google Suite
• Comfortable navigating various social media channels professionally
• Detail oriented
• A proactive approach to problem-solving
• Strategic thinking and strong organizational/tracking skills
• Excellent written and verbal skills
WORK MODE
This position is primarily in-person and is based on campus to support effective in-person collaboration and engagement. #LI-DNI
Hybrid or remote work arrangements may be considered on a case-by-case basis, depending on the nature of the role and operational needs. Any such arrangement must be discussed and approved in advance by the appropriate division lead or their designee.
Hourly Rate: $17.00
This position is not covered by a collective bargaining agreement between SENS-UAW, Local 7902 and the University.
