Armed Security Officer

Pay Rate: $20.00 per hour

Position Summary

Citadel Security USA is seeking a dependable Armed Security Officer for scheduled weekend coverage. This position is responsible for maintaining a visible security presence, conducting vehicle and foot patrols, responding to alarms and incidents, and documenting activity throughout each shift.

The successful candidate will be comfortable operating a patrol vehicle, carrying a personal firearm while on duty, following established post orders, and remaining composed when responding to security-related situations.
 

Schedule

• Every other Saturday: 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM
• Every other Sunday: 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM
• Part-time, alternating-weekend schedule
• Reliable availability for assigned weekend shifts is required.
   

Core Duties

• Conduct routine patrols by vehicle and on foot throughout assigned areas.
• Operate the patrol vehicle safely and in accordance with applicable state laws and company requirements.
• Monitor assigned areas for signs of unauthorized access, unsafe conditions, suspicious activity, or other concerns.
• Respond promptly and appropriately to alarms, disturbances, emergencies, and suspicious activity.
• Assess situations calmly and follow established response procedures.
• Use force only when legally permitted and consistent with company policy, training, and applicable requirements.
• Contact and coordinate with law enforcement when an incident requires outside assistance.
• Prepare thorough reports documenting daily activities, incidents, alarms, irregularities, and significant observations.
• Maintain a professional and helpful demeanor when assisting visitors, employees, residents, or other authorized individuals.
• Enforce applicable property rules, post orders, and company procedures consistently.
• Maintain awareness of designated areas and promptly report conditions requiring attention.
• Complete all assigned duties while maintaining a professional, alert, and security-focused presence.
   

Required Qualifications

• Active Guard Card required.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Valid Driver’s License required.
• Personal firearm required for armed assignment.
• Must be legally qualified to perform armed security duties.
• Ability to successfully complete required background screening and company onboarding.
• Ability to safely operate a patrol vehicle.
• Ability to follow post orders, company policies, and applicable laws.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to remain calm and exercise sound judgment during incidents.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Ability to work independently during assigned shifts.

Patrol Vehicle Responsibilities

• Conduct vehicle patrols according to assigned routes and instructions.
• Operate the patrol vehicle in a safe and responsible manner.
• Follow all applicable state driving requirements and company vehicle policies.
• Remain attentive to surroundings while driving and while conducting vehicle-based checks.
• Safely transition between vehicle patrols and foot patrols when required.
• Report vehicle or equipment concerns through the appropriate channels.
   

Incident Response & Reporting

• Respond to alarms and security incidents without unnecessary delay.
• Maintain composure when dealing with disturbances or emergency situations.
• Follow established procedures and request additional assistance when appropriate.
• Coordinate with law enforcement during serious incidents.
• Document relevant facts, actions taken, and outcomes in required reports.
• Maintain accurate records of routine activities and notable events.
