This position is responsible for performing physical and visual inspections of product and plant systems, sample collection and preparation, documenting and calculating results accurately; taking corrective action when necessary (alert appropriate personnel to adjust process; identify, segregate, & isolate non-conforming product) and report results to management; routine equipment cleaning and diagnostics; any additional assignments requested. All team members are responsible for safety. This includes but is not limited to personal safety and food safety.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Education: High School diploma or equivalent preferred.

• Experience: Minimum of 1 year experience in the food industry and prior QA experience preferred.

• Communication Skills: Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Special Skills: Must possess skills to complete Tyson paperwork; ability to lead by example and communicate with the hourly workforce; good problem identification and problem-solving skills; math and organizational skills; ability to read and interpret product specifications; must function well under stress; must have flexibility to work where and when needed including possibly of working different shifts.

• Physical Requirements: Position involved standing for 8 plus hours per day, walking and occasionally lifting up to 30 pounds more).

• Supervisory: None

• Travel: None

• This position is based at our Hutchinson, KS facility and is currently being considered for local candidates only.

WORKING HOURS: Wednesday - Friday 1:30 PM – 11:30 PM

Saturday 11AM-9PM (Weekends as needed)

Internal Team Members:

• Must not have 4 or more attendance points for locations on an 8 point policy (on application date)

• No written warning in the past six (6) months

• No suspension on record for the last 12 months

• No lateral, downward, or self-disqualification unless for higher classification for the past 6 months.

• New TM’s still in 90 days of probationary period are not eligible to bid.
