Overview
The HR Assistant will provide administrative Human Resources support to the organization, with a primary focus on Recruiting.
Position Logistics
This position allows for work from home/hybrid schedule. This position may require in person training at the Corporate Office in Eden Prairie, MN. Further details and schedule will be discussed and agreed upon.
Responsibilities
- Represent Cornerstone Parking Group and the Human Resources Team with a positive, professional, and helpful demeanor.
- Assist Recruiter Team with recruiting and interview process by conducting pre-screens, processing background checks, sending offer letters, initiating onboarding, conducting interviews, etc. for new employees and rehires.
- Process employee paperwork by scanning, extracting, saving, and entering information into all appropriate fields and systems for new employees, rehires, transfers, demotions, promotions, terminations/resignations.
- Ensure consistency, accuracy, and compliance in processing of paperwork. File papers and documents into appropriate employee files – hard copies/physical paper and electronically.
- Ensure I-9 completion and compliance. File I-9s in appropriate folders. Keep I-9 files accurate.
- Complete and submit employment verifications by email, fax, letter, and phone.
- Conduct quarterly audits on various payroll, benefits, and employee data reports. Conduct additional audits as needed and per request from HR Team.
- Monitor and respond to inquiries in the HR Email. Forward emails as appropriate to other parties, if necessary.
- Monitor and assist HR Team and Operations with timecard entries, payroll items, etc.
- Update and monitor Referral Bonus database. Communicate with employee(s) and with Payroll Manager regarding payouts.
- Update and monitor group insurance benefits databases. Communicate with and provide benefits package information to eligible employees.
- Make photocopies, sends faxes, and perform other clerical functions to support the HR Team and Corporate Office teams.
- Assist HR Team with various research projects and/or special projects, i.e., holiday mailing, open enrollment, etc.
- Assist HR Team with benefits administration during Open Enrollment.
- Accompany Recruiter at job fairs and recruiting events.
- Answer incoming phone calls for Corporate Office and HR Team, assisting each caller as appropriate, taking messages, and transferring calls.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

Compensation
- $25.00 - $27.00/hour, depending on experience
- 136 PTO (Paid Time Off) hours, annually

Requirements
- High school diploma. Undergraduate degree and/or currently pursuing a degree in Human Resources, or related field preferred.
- Previous Human Resources or administrative experience preferred. Combination of education and experience will be considered.
- Valid Driver’s License. May be required to travel to various locations across the Twin Cities.
- Proficiency with office equipment and technology including, but not limited to, Microsoft Office programs, internet, email, and text messaging.
- Proven ability to use proper grammar, punctuation, and spelling in written communications, primarily email.
- Consistently display a positive attitude, flexibility, and initiative.
- Read, write, speak, and understand fluent English.
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- High standard of integrity.
- Ability to deal effectively with highly sensitive and/or confidential employee issues and situations.
- Ability to work well with all levels of management and employees across the organization.
- Able to sit for extended periods of time (approximately 90% of the workday).
