The Role:

Our site in Bedford, MA is seeking an Industrial Engineering Co-Op to join our team for the Spring 2027 season. This assignment is intended to be 6 months in duration.

In this role, you will support the Entegris Specialty Coatings by executing projects to improve OEE and production schedule adherence. This role will involve root cause investigation on the production floor, data analysis, and executing projects based on the findings from root cause analysis.

What You’ll Do:

  • Perform root cause analysis on the production floor to understand causes for missed due dates on production schedules
  • Implement OEE tracking for equipment
  • Analyze production data to recommend improvements to labor pool, work centers, and routings in SAP
  • Conduct time studies to understand actual vs theoretical routing times
  • Implement improvements on the production floor based on the findings

What We Seek:

  • Data anlaysis skills
  • Ability to spend time on the production floor to understand interviewing operations personnel to understand the production process flows
  • Familiarity with or willingness to learn continuous improvement concepts (Lean, Six Sigma, etc.)
  • Familiarity with or willingness to learn SAP

Desired Major(s) & Graduation Year:

Bachelor or Master student graduating 2028 or 2029

Industrial, mechanical, or chemical engineering

Eligibility:

  • Must be a currently enrolled student
  • Available to work 40 hours a week, M-F (8a-5p) beginning in January through June
  • Must be familiar with the university’s requirements to participate in a co-op program
  • Entegris is not currently hiring candidates for co-ops/internships who will need, now or at any time in the future, Entegris sponsorship through the H1-B lottery.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Needs to be able to work on plant floor with manufacturing equipment.
