Responsibilities
Peraton is seeking an experienced PMO Manager to lead the Program Management Office (PMO) for a state government customer. This enterprise initiative delivers standardized, secure, and scalable infrastructure services to a state government customer.
The PMO Manager will provide centralized oversight of program planning, schedule integration, CDRL tracking, SLA compliance, and cross-functional coordination. This role ensures that program activities are managed efficiently, contractually compliant, and performance-optimized while supporting enterprise modernization initiatives.
This position will provide support in the following location(s): Richmond, VA
Key Responsibilities
Program Oversight & Integration
- Manage the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) and align milestones, dependencies, and task orders across projects
- Standardize project management practices to ensure transparency, traceability, and contract alignment
- Coordinate program activities with customer processes and other suppliers
Performance Monitoring & Reporting
- Track and report SLAs and KPIs, implementing recovery plans as needed
- Provide concise, data-driven updates for executives and stakeholders
CDRLs, Deliverables & Change Management
- Oversee contract deliverables (CDRLs) to ensure quality and timeliness
- Maintain version-controlled documentation and support change proposals (ECPs, BOE, pricing)
Risk, Issue & Continuous Improvement
- Maintain risk and issue registers and implement mitigation strategies
- Identify process improvements and lead post-mortem reviews for lessons learned
Team Leadership & Collaboration
- Manage PMO staff and guide project managers
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and ensure consistent use of PM tools (MS Project, JIRA, SharePoint, Confluence)
Quality Assurance & Compliance
- Conduct QA checks on deliverables and processes
- Ensure documentation follows configuration management protocols

Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience, may have supervisory or lead experience
- Experience leading PMOs and managing portfolios in enterprise IT environments
- Proficiency with project management tools: MS Project, JIRA, SharePoint, Confluence
- Demonstrated experience with CDRLs, IMS, SLA tracking, and change management
- Strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
Clearance Requirement
- U.S. Citizenship required
- Ability to pass a state suitability/background investigation
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in business, IT, Engineering, or related field
- PMP Certification (PMI)
- ITIL v3 or v4 Foundation Certification
- ScrumMaster or Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) certification
- Experience leading geographically dispersed teams
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 or CMMI-based quality frameworks
- Experience supporting proposal development, BOE generation, and T&M/FFP projects
