Job Title:
Sales, Installation and Training Consultant
Job Purpose:
Our client is seeking a Sales, Installation and Training Consultant to drive sales, install products, and train clients on the full suite of services on offer. This is a client-facing role that combines direct selling with hands-on installation and structured training, ensuring clients fully understand and adopt the systems they've purchased. The successful candidate will be a confident communicator who thrives on building relationships, meeting targets, and providing an excellent client experience from first contact through onboarding and beyond.
Responsibilities & Skills:
Sales
- Conduct sales presentations in line with established sales methodologies
- Sell products and services, achieving targets per payment stream
- Prospect for and generate new leads
- Network at road shows, trade shows, and industry events to engage existing and potential clients
- Build strong client relationships, assessing each client's needs to identify opportunities for increased transaction volumes
- Develop subject matter expertise across relevant industry topics
Installation & Client Training
- Install products and systems in accordance with standard operating procedures
- Train clients on all products and services in a professional, structured, and comprehensive manner
- Adapt training methods to suit individual client needs, including pace and language considerations
- Assess client understanding through questioning and follow-up, ensuring true comprehension rather than rote repetition
- Communicate installation issues and solutions to management to support the wider team
Client Servicing & Care
- Provide specialised support to clients in the early "nursery" phase following installation
- Conduct scheduled client visits, arriving punctually and appropriately prepared
- Deliver knowledgeable, professional, and friendly service at every client interaction
- Conduct needs analyses to identify cross-sell and up-sell opportunities
- Handle and resolve client complaints professionally, escalating where necessary
Administration & Reporting
- Complete installation, sales, leave, sick leave, and expense paperwork accurately and on time
- Submit CRM entries, stock forms, logbooks, and monthly feedback reports in line with procedures
- Relay client feedback to management on an ongoing basis to support strategic decision-making
Qualifications and Experience:
- Matric (Grade 12)
- 3–4 years of direct sales experience
- 100% bilingual (English and Afrikaans); proficiency in other official languages is an advantage
- Strong working knowledge of Windows operating systems and hardware (A+ certification or similar advantageous)
- Valid driver's licence
- Excellent sales ability and outstanding communication skills
- Exceptional organisational and administrative skills
- Strong training and facilitation abilities
- Proficiency in PC hardware and operating systems, including setup, troubleshooting, and operation.
