PermanentWhat you'll be doing:
As a New Product Development Manager, you will play a pivotal role in bringing innovative beauty products to market by leading end-to-end product development projects within your assigned category. Working closely with cross-functional teams across Global, Local, APAC, Supply Chain, Marketing, and New Product Introduction functions, you will ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Acting as the central point of coordination and project leadership, you will manage priorities, mitigate risks, solve complex challenges, and maintain strong collaboration with both internal stakeholders and external clients to drive successful product launches.Key responsibilities:
- Leading new product development projects from concept through to launch within your assigned beauty category.
- Managing project timelines, deliverables, budgets, resources, and key milestones to ensure successful execution.
- Coordinating activities and deliverables across global, regional, and local cross-functional teams.
- Leading key project governance meetings, including Gate Meetings, Matrix Meetings, NPD Meetings, and Global Pre-Gate reviews.
- Supporting the Category PPM Lead with Global Gate processes, GPC meetings, and associated project documentation.
- Identifying project risks, issues, dependencies, and critical decisions, and driving effective solutions.
- Facilitating cross-functional problem-solving to meet Marketing, Supply Chain, quality, and financial objectives.
- Managing project schedules, change requests, resource allocation, and risk mitigation plans.
- Preparing and communicating project status updates to stakeholders and leadership teams.
- Ensuring Supply Chain capabilities, constraints, and regional requirements are incorporated into project plans.
- Collaborating closely with Shared and APAC Project Portfolio Management teams to align on project priorities, timelines, costs, and volumes.
- Driving accountability across matrix teams to ensure tasks are completed on time and project milestones are achieved.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and key stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
What we're looking for
- Proven experience in New Product Development, Project Management, Product Development, Program Management, or a related role.
- Experience managing complex, cross-functional projects within the beauty, cosmetics, FMCG, consumer goods, manufacturing, or related industries.
- Strong project planning and execution skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience leading matrix teams and coordinating stakeholders across different functions, regions, and cultures.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities with a proactive approach to risk management.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills.
- Ability to negotiate priorities and balance competing business objectives.
- Experience working closely with Supply Chain, Operations, Manufacturing, Marketing, and Commercial teams.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and use insights to drive actions and decisions.
- Experience preparing and presenting project updates to senior stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver projects on time, within scope, budget, and quality requirements.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Customer-focused mindset with experience managing client interactions and expectations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management tools.
- Fluent English language skills, both written and spoken.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain, Project Management, Product Development, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
