Job description

Responsibilities Include:

• Procure custom millwork products, including windows, doors, and related materials.
• Manage inventory levels and review purchase requisitions.
• Negotiate pricing, availability, delivery schedules, and vendor programs.
• Issue purchase orders and ensure timely delivery to customers and RBS locations.
• Build strong vendor relationships and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Support customer needs through accurate, detail-oriented purchasing decisions.
• Experience with Marvin Windows, TruStile Doors, or similar millwork products is a plus.

 

Qualifications

Millwork Purchasing Agent Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret specifications, contracts, and construction documents.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 1-2 years of purchasing, inventory, or related experience preferred.
• Knowledge of windows, doors, millwork products, and related building materials.
• Strong negotiation, organizational, and communication skills.
• Experience with Marvin Windows, TruStile Doors, or similar products is a plus.

Join Riverhead Building Supply, a leading building materials company with over 800 employees across Long Island, Connecticut, Rhode Island, and Massachusetts.

 

Millwork Purchasing Agent- We are seeking a Millwork Purchasing Agent with knowledge of windows, doors, and millwork products to support purchasing operations from our Corporate Office. This role is responsible for managing inventory levels, sourcing and procuring custom millwork products, negotiating with vendors, monitoring pricing and delivery schedules, and ensuring the timely fulfillment of customer and yard needs. Strong attention to detail, vendor management skills, and the ability to expedite orders are essential. Experience with Marvin Windows and TruStile Doors is a plus.

 

For compliance purposes for NYS transparency, the expected salary range is $30.00 - $35.00. Compensation will be based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
