Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Be part of the Cloud Infrastructure/Security team to plan, develop, and support infrastructure/security services for application systems.
- Provide consultancy to application teams on the infrastructure and security design, planning, and implementation of infrastructure solutions and architecture.
- Strengthen infrastructure security, monitoring, observability, and overall operational resilience. Resolve incidents, service requests, and operational issues to maintain service availability.
- Manage vendors in the delivery of infrastructure setup, operations, and security patching for government cloud environments. Attend regular meetings with vendors and internal teams to review operational matters.
- Familiar with ICT compliance and perform remediation of ICT audit findings. Familiar in ICT incident management plan/process.
- Plan and implement cloud infrastructure on AWS in accordance with applicable cloud guidelines, including the provisioning and management of resources using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform. Familiar with Agile Development process, CI/CD, DevOps concepts, tools (GitLab, GitHub, Ansible etc.) and how automated security testing can be incorporated into CI/CD pipelines.
- Ensure infrastructure deployments comply with security best practices, including vulnerability management, access control, and applicable security policies.
- Perform IT security assessments, audits, and the remediation of findings.
- Conduct security awareness training sessions.
- Experience in working with government cloud environments preferred.
Requirements:
- Degree or diploma in a relevant discipline, or an equivalent qualification.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in managing and supporting infrastructure/security projects.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in application design and deployment across cloud and on-premises environments.
- Relevant certifications preferred (e.g. AWS Solution Architect Associate or higher, AWS DevOps Engineer).
- Sound knowledge of cloud, server, network, security, and data centre hosting environments.
- Hands-on experience with AWS services (e.g. EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, IAM) and Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform will be an advantage.
- Familiarity with cloud security frameworks and best practices, including CIS benchmarks or equivalent security standards.
