As an Electrical Test Design Engineer, you'll take ownership of technical work packages, develop innovative test solutions and help shape the future of aerospace test capability at our Wimborne site. No two projects are the same, making this an ideal role for engineers who enjoy variety, problem solving and seeing their designs used in a real production environment. ## What you’ll do:

• Design, develop and support automated electrical test systems used throughout the lifecycle of aerospace products.
• Apply electrical engineering knowledge to solve technical problems relating to test equipment, hardware integration and product verification.
• Take ownership of assigned projects and deliver technical solutions from initial concept through to deployment and ongoing support.
• Produce and maintain engineering documentation including specifications, test procedures, validation evidence and user instructions.
• Support investigation and resolution of product, manufacturing and test-related issues.
• Work safely and effectively in a laboratory environment using a range of electrical test equipment and instrumentation.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, programme, quality and supply chain teams to ensure successful delivery of projects and customer requirements.
• Engage with suppliers to support the procurement, introduction and maintenance of equipment and services.
• Contribute to continuous improvement activities that enhance safety, efficiency, reliability and reuse of test solutions.
• Provide technical guidance and support to less experienced engineers where appropriate."

## Qualifications:

• Engineering or science degree, apprenticeship, HNC/HND, or equivalent practical experience.

## Skills:

• Experience within an engineering, manufacturing or technical environment.
• Experience applying engineering principles to solve practical problems and deliver technical solutions
• Good understanding of electrical and electronic systems.
• Ability to interpret electrical schematics and technical documentation.
• Experience using electrical laboratory equipment such as digital multimeters, oscilloscopes and power supplies.
• Comfortable working with computer-based test systems and engineering software tools.
• Competent user of Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Curious and motivated to learn new technologies and skills.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking abilities.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Collaborative approach with the ability to work effectively across different teams.
• Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
• Organised and capable of managing multiple tasks and priorities.
