LOCATION: Franklin, Wisconsin
Pay : $20.45
Shift: Day Shift, 12-hour 2-2-3 schedule (work every other weekend)
Hours: 5:45 AM to 6:00 PM, with overtime as needed based on business requirements. Start times and hours may vary due to staffing coverage, production schedules, and holiday requirements. Strong attendance and punctuality are required.
HOW YOU WILL MAKE HISTORY HERE…
As a Seasoning Operator, you will play a critical role in ensuring products are seasoned accurately and consistently while maintaining a continuous flow of product to packaging lines. Your attention to quality, food safety, equipment performance, and operational efficiency helps deliver products that meet our quality standards and customer expectations.
WHAT YOU WILL DO…
- Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), food safety requirements, and safety regulations.
- Maintain seasoning systems with the correct seasoning blends and appropriate inventory levels.
- Monitor seasoning application and make adjustments to ensure products meet quality and specification standards.
- Troubleshoot seasoning equipment and perform minor mechanical adjustments and routine maintenance.
- Assemble, disassemble, set up, clean, and change over seasoning line equipment.
- Perform chemical, Kosher, and allergen cleaning procedures in accordance with sanitation standards.
- Complete required documentation and records related to seasoning processes and production activities.
- Retrieve and stage required ingredients and supplies from the warehouse to support production.
- Operate case erectors and other related production equipment.
- Perform sanitation activities for scales, drums, and seasoning equipment.
- Calibrate load cells, verify level sensors, assist with scale calibration, and conduct seasoning drop tests.
- Utilize operator interface panels to adjust seasoning settings, monitor equipment performance, and support production operations.
- Conduct troubleshooting and corrective actions to resolve seasoning-related issues.
- Assist Research & Development (R&D) teams with seasoning trials, product testing, and new product introductions.
- Communicate effectively with Production, Packaging, Quality Assurance, Maintenance, Warehouse, and other departments regarding equipment status, product quality, training, and operational needs.
- Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH…
- Packaging Leads and production team members to ensure a continuous flow of product.
- Quality Assurance personnel to maintain product quality and food safety standards.
- Maintenance technicians regarding equipment performance and repairs.
- Warehouse personnel to ensure availability of ingredients and production supplies.
- Research & Development teams during product testing and seasoning trials.
- Fellow operators and team members to support training, communication, and operational excellence.
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE… (MUST HAVE)
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Minimum of one (1) year of production experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to follow GMPs, SOPs, food safety requirements, and workplace safety procedures.
- Basic mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot equipment and perform minor adjustments.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality.
- Ability to complete production documentation accurately and timely.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive physical activities including bending, twisting, reaching, lifting, pushing, and pulling.
- Ability to lift up to 60 pounds occasionally.
IT WOULD BE GREAT IF YOU HAVE… (NICE TO HAVE)
- Previous seasoning, batching, mixing, or food manufacturing experience.
- Experience operating automated production equipment and operator interface systems (HMI).
- Knowledge of allergen control, Kosher cleaning, sanitation, and food safety practices.
- Experience with equipment calibration, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance activities.
- Familiarity with quality systems, manufacturing documentation, and process controls.
- Experience supporting product trials, testing, or new product introductions in a manufacturing environment.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Manufacturing environment with exposure to moving mechanical parts.
- Frequent exposure to wet and humid conditions.
- Occasional exposure to elevated work areas, airborne particles, and cleaning chemicals.
- Loud noise levels requiring appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Requires continuous standing, frequent walking, bending, squatting, and repetitive movements throughout the shift.
Individual base pay depends on work location and additional factors such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training. Total pay may include other forms of compensation.
