What is the opportunity?
In this role you will take ownership for follow up and remediation of all collateral files, aggressively contacting relevant sources including attorneys, government agencies and other key stake holders for outstanding documents. You will also ensure that there is accountability for mortgage bill of sales, original mortgage documents, original certificates, bonds guarantees and all other documents held as collateral with a focus on achieving an enhanced client experience by meeting or exceeding established service level agreements.
What will you do?
- Provide consistent service within established benchmarks contributing to achievement of Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
- Possess an in depth understanding of credit policies/procedures and guidelines
- Apply sound credit judgment, taking all necessary steps, recommend exceptions to credit guidelines within delegated authorities and refer when necessary
- Proactively identify and recommend solutions to recurring errors and service gaps, process efficiency and effectiveness enhancements and act as a referral point/Subject Matter Expert for sales and service employees
- Take ownership and accountability for the resolution of moderately complex issues and concerns at the first point of contact, demonstrating a long-term perspective in addressing client concerns
- Identify service/operational inefficiencies and make recommendations for value added enhancements to appropriate parties
- Support revenue growth by reducing revenue leakage and focusing on other opportunity spotting initiatives
- Exercise appropriate due diligence in following credit/operational risk policies, procedures, standards and guidelines (e.g. verification of documentation etc.)
- Ensure adherence to Global Information Risk Management framework and Global Compliance mandated policies and procedures
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
- Bank’s minimum entry requirements, 5 CXC subjects including Mathematics and English with a passing grade between 1-3.
- RBC business knowledge including Personal Banking service and operations.
- Very strong client first orientation, attention to details with strong organizational skills
- Ability to multi-task and adjust to the demand/needs of our clients and service partners
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Good knowledge of Bank’s core applications and Microsoft Word + keyboarding skills
Nice-to-have
- Diploma in Management or related discipline or equivalent education/training in a related field
