Vein & Artery Surgical Consultants (VASC) is looking for a friendly, dependable, and detail-oriented Front Desk Medical Assistant to join our growing vascular specialty practice. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys interacting with patients, thrives in a fast-paced medical office, and is passionate about providing exceptional customer service while supporting both administrative and clinical operations. As an important member of our team, you'll help create a welcoming patient experience while assisting with front office responsibilities and providing clinical support as needed.

What You'll Do

Front Office Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors in a professional, courteous, and compassionate manner.
• Schedule office appointments, procedures, and follow-up visits.
• Answer incoming telephone calls and assist patients with questions and appointment requests.
• Verify patient demographics, insurance coverage, and other required information.
• Complete patient registration and check-in procedures.
• Coordinate referrals and obtain outside medical records as needed.
• Maintain accurate patient information within the electronic medical record (EMR).
• Support efficient patient flow throughout the clinic.

Clinical Support

• Assist physicians and clinical staff with Medical Assistant duties as needed.
• Provide additional administrative and clinical support to ensure efficient daily operations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bilingual in English and Spanish is required.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Medical Assistant diploma required.
• Previous experience in a medical office, specialty clinic, surgical practice, or vascular practice preferred.
• Strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) and medical scheduling systems preferred.
• Insurance verification and prior authorization experience is a plus.

Position Requirements

• Valid Texas driver's license in good standing.
• Must be listed as a covered driver on personal automobile insurance.
• Reliable transportation for travel between clinic locations as needed.
