In this role, the BT Technical Trainer develops training content across core enterprise technologies—such as AI technologies, Microsoft 365, collaboration platforms, endpoint tools, and digital workplace solutions—and delivers engaging instructor-led, virtual, and on-demand learning experiences.
The BT Technical Trainer partners closely with Digital Workplace, BT teams, and business stakeholders to identify skill gaps, promote adoption of new technologies, and ensure employees are equipped with the knowledge and confidence to maximize productivity. Partners with BT leadership to shape the training roadmap and prioritize initiatives against business goals.
This role also contributes to documentation, knowledge management, and continuous improvement of training programs and learning strategies.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education: Associate’s degree in Information Technology, Education, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience: 3+ years of experience in technical training, IT support, or instructional design within a corporate or enterprise environment, with the ability to deliver training on Microsoft 365 applications (Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Outlook), Autodesk Vault, CAD-related tools, manufacturing platforms, and emerging AI technologies
Bilingual - English required, Spanish preferred
Travel: 20-30%
Work Schedule: Typical work hours are between 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Monday – Friday; however, work may be performed at any time on any day of the week to meet business needs.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Training Development & Delivery
- Design and deliver engaging technical training programs for enterprise technologies, both in-person and virtually.
- Develop structured learning paths and curricula, aligned to business needs.
- Facilitate instructor-led sessions, workshops, and webinars for employees across multiple locations.
- Create scalable training content, including eLearning modules, videos, job aids, and quick reference guides.
Technology Adoption & Enablement
- Partner with Digital Workplace, BT teams and L&D to support new technology rollouts and adoption initiatives.
- Identify knowledge gaps and recommend targeted training solutions to improve user proficiency.
- Promote best practices for technology usage to improve productivity and collaboration.
- Act as a subject matter expert for end-user tools and digital workplace technologies, including but not limited to Office 365, Google Workspace and various AI tools.
Content Management & Documentation
- Develop and maintain training documentation, knowledge base articles, and user guides.
- Ensure all training materials are current, standardized, and aligned with BT policies and procedures.
- Maintain organized libraries of training resources for easy employee access.
Measurement & Continuous Improvement
- Evaluate effectiveness of training programs through feedback, assessments, and adoption metrics.
- Analyze trends to identify opportunities for improving training outcomes and delivery methods.
- Continuously enhance training strategies based on evolving technologies and business priorities.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align training with BT services.
- Engage with business leaders to understand training needs and tailor solutions accordingly.
- Support enterprise communication efforts related to training and technology changes.
Team Support & Onboarding
- Deliver onboarding training for new employees on core BT systems and tools.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to peers and internal trainers when applicable.
- Model FTI values and professionalism in all interactions.
- Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
