Job Overview
Georgetown University’s Center for Global Health Practice and Impact (CGHPI) serves to sustainably improve population health and wellbeing and safeguard against health-related threats by advancing the use of evidence through human-centered design for the advancement of health and health equity. To advance this mission, CGHPI seeks a Program Assistant to provide meeting support, events planning, and logistics management for the Ending the HIV Epidemic in the U.S. - Technical Assistance Provider (EHE-TAP) project.
The Program Assistant for Meetings, Events, and Logistics Management plays a key role in ensuring the seamless execution of events, meetings, and logistics across the EHE-TAP project. The position is responsible for planning, organizing, and executing program meetings, including regional workshops, learning collaboratives, and technical assistance workshops, as well as providing administrative assistance to the project and CGHPI team. The incumbent will be the central point of contact for project meetings and will be responsible for managing all aspects of these events. This includes coordinating logistics, coordinating travel, managing schedules, and providing administrative support to both internal and external partners. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills, with a strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Work Interactions
The Program Assistant will report directly to the EHE-TAP Senior Program Manager. This role works cross-departmentally representing the operations team providing critical administrative and organizational assistance as needed. The role is responsible for communication with EHE jurisdictions, Georgetown University’s operational units, and external stakeholders to ensure project success.
Requirements and Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in event management, business administration, program management, or a related field
2-3 years of experience relevant to the role
Excellent project management and administrative skills
Strong attention to detail
Effective interpersonal and communication skills
Excellent time management skills
Skilled negotiator and problem-solver
Highly organized and disciplined, and ability to relate easily to a wide range of groups
An independent thinker, creative, and unafraid to take initiative
Willingness to travel domestically
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in budget management, including managing institutional credit cards
Experience with virtual event platforms

This position has been designated as Hybrid (Monday-Wednesday in office at 500 1st St NW, Washington DC; Thursday-Friday remote). Pay Range:
The projected salary or hourly pay range for this position which represents the full range of anticipated compensation is:
$47,586.00 - $87,558.13Compensation is determined by a number of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s individual qualifications, experience, education, skills, and certifications, as well as the University’s business needs and external factors.
