Medtronic Neurovascular advances care for patients experiencing stroke and complex cerebrovascular conditions. Our minimally invasive technologies help clinicians restore blood flow, treat vascular disease, and improve outcomes when time matters most.

This role is part of the Program Management function, leading cross-functional product development and lifecycle management initiatives that support the delivery, performance, compliance, and continuous improvement of neurovascular products.

This position is based in Irvine, California and follows an onsite work arrangement. Travel is expected to be less than 10%.

The PD Program Manager leads cross-functional programs that support the development, implementation, and lifecycle management of Neurovascular products and processes. This role is responsible for driving alignment across stakeholders, managing project execution, monitoring risks and dependencies, and ensuring projects are delivered in support of business objectives, product quality, compliance requirements, and customer needs.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Leads or leverages cross-functional teams from concept through execution in the development and delivery of new or existing products, processes, and lifecycle management initiatives, ensuring alignment of requirements, stakeholders, budgets, schedules, and business objectives.

  • Oversees and manages the operational aspects of multiple ongoing projects and serves as a liaison between project management and planning, project teams, functional stakeholders, and line management.

  • Manages the development and implementation process for changes to existing products, services, and processes involving departmental or cross-functional teams focused on sustaining product performance, quality, compliance, and customer needs.

  • Reviews project status, budgets, risks, and priorities; manages schedules and prepares clear, accurate status reports for cross-functional partners and leadership.

  • Monitors projects from initiation through implementation, ensuring details, deliverables, dependencies, and decisions are tracked and communicated.

  • Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, compliance, and customer-satisfaction goals and objectives.

  • Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress, identifying risks or barriers early, and enabling intervention and problem solving with team members and stakeholders.

  • Gathers and manages project requirements, stakeholder inputs, and change-related information to ensure released product projects are well-defined, appropriately documented, and aligned to business and customer needs.

  • Leads and/or supports operating mechanisms that drive prioritization, governance, visibility, risk management, and cross-functional alignment across PMO initiatives.

  • Communicates effectively with stakeholders, facilitates alignment, and obtains engagement to ensure project outcomes address business problems while balancing multiple priorities and concurrent workstreams.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of program management, project management, product development, engineering, operations, or related business experience; OR Advanced degree and 3+ years of experience.

  • Experience leading cross-functional projects involving multiple stakeholders, priorities, and deliverables.

  • Experience managing project plans, schedules, risks, budgets, and performance metrics.

  • Experience presenting project status, risks, and recommendations to leadership and cross-functional teams.

  • Experience using project management methodologies, tools, and governance processes to deliver complex programs.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting medical device product development, sustaining engineering, or product lifecycle management programs.

  • Experience working within regulated environments subject to quality system and regulatory requirements.

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent project management credential.

  • Experience leading global or geographically distributed cross-functional teams.

  • Experience implementing process improvements, governance frameworks, or portfolio management practices.

For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$138,400.00 - $207,600.00

 

This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).

The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).

The following benefits and additional compensation are available to those regular employees who work 20+ hours per week: Health, Dental and vision insurance, Health Savings Account, Healthcare Flexible Spending Account, Life insurance, Long-term disability leave, Dependent daycare spending account, Tuition assistance/reimbursement, and Simple Steps (global well-being program).
