Our primary goal is to maintain a clean, sanitary, and safe environment for all residents throughout Westminster Village. Your duties will include sweeping, mopping, vacuuming all floors, empty hamper bags, etc.

Westminster Village is seeking a PRN Floor Care Specialist to help on an as needed basis. Westminster Village offers a competitive wage with an annual increase. The wage scale for this position is $15.97 to $17.97 per hour. 


Job Duties:

  • Sweep all floors or carpets within area of responsibility collecting dust, dirt, debris and properly dispose of the collected material. 
  • Wet mop same floors and put up wet floor signs on either side, or entry of area to be mopped. 
  • Prepare proper amounts of mop solution and change water solution at prescribed times. 
  • Buff floors with buffing machine. 
  • Strip floors and wax as directed. 
  • Prepare proper amounts of floor stripper and wax for the area of floor to be stripped and waxed. 
  • Empty hamper bags of soiled linen into laundry carts in soiled linen room. 
  • Assist in moving furniture. 
  • Change mop water located in soiled utility rooms at prescribed times. Keep floors near entry ways clear of moisture. 
  • Keep vestibules and areas near entries (inside and out) clear of leaves and other windblown debris. 
  • Collect garbage and wheel it out to dumpster. 
  • Clean various areas as needed. 
  • Familiarize oneself with location and use of firefighting equipment, alarms and disaster procedures. 
  • Attend educational meetings planned for this position. 
  • Perform other duties as assigned. 

Requirements

High school diploma, GED or equivalent.  Previous floor care experience preferred.
