Description
Edwards Lifesciences is expanding its global technology capabilities with the launch of a new IT Innovation Hub in Pune, India. The Hub strengthens the technology foundation that supports our business worldwide, working in close partnership with teams across regions to deliver reliable, high-quality solutions at scale. Designed as a long-term investment, the Pune Hub will advance newer digital capabilities such as automation, data, AI, and cloud, and will include roles spanning end user services, application development, and enterprise platform teams. Together, these teams will help Edwards operate more efficiently and accelerate innovation in support of our mission of advancing patient care.
We are looking to hire a motivated Senior Developer proficient in front-end and back-end web development to join our dynamic global team. This person will be responsible for leading the design and development of Edwards’ SAPIEN X4S mobile application, a digital tool used by our field sales teams to facilitate patient procedural planning and case discussions regarding valve sizing. You will be tasked with the development from concept design working with various teams in R&D, Marketing, Regulatory, Software Quality Assurance, Quality Engineering, and Legal to develop new features, test app designs, and adhere to regulatory requirements, while ensuring quality control standards. If you thrive in horizontal collaboration, have a knack for designing scalable solutions, and are passionate about building solutions that align with emerging business needs, this is an opportunity to make a significant impact in a patient-focused dynamic environment.
How you’ll make an impact:
•Lead design and implementation of features across iOS, and Android with a strong focus on correctly and faithfully rendering approved labeling content – from CSV/JSON datasets.
•Define and uphold engineering standards: testing strategy (unit/widget/integration), code review, static analysis (flutter_lints), and CI/CD.
•Drive release management — App Store / Play Store submissions, signing, versioning, build automation — coordinated with labeling release/approval cycles.
•Own and evolve the application architecture: navigation (go_router), dependency injection (get_it), offline data layer (drift/SQLite)
•Partner with Product, Regulatory Affairs, Labeling, and QA to translate approved labeling and requirements into a verifiable design, and to manage controlled content updates and translations.
•Implement UI screens and features in Dart and using Flutter SDK against established designs and patterns.
•Help implement and consume REST APIs (http) and handle authenticated sessions (JWT).
•Support localization so the app matches approved, translated labeling content
•Write unit and widget tests; fix defects found in test and review.
•Adhere to labeling/document-control practices — ensuring displayed content exactly matches the approved source and is properly versioned. Participate in code reviews and stand-ups.
•Document code and expected application behaviors
•Analyze, diagnose, and fix performance, functional software, and end-user issues
•Document and demonstrate solutions by developing technical documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments and clear code on moderately complex issues
•Determine and design medium to highly complex system specifications, standards, and programming including preparing and installing solutions within the scope of architecture, quality, security policies
What you’ll need (Required):
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent work experience and training in the specific technologies and programming languages that will be used for development required
• 5+ years of professional software development, including 3+ years deploying Flutter/Dart applications (or deep native iOS/Android experience with strong, demonstrated Flutter proficiency).
• Strong command of Flutter architecture patterns, state management, async/streams, and the package ecosystem (routing, DI, local persistence).
• Proven experience taking cross-platform mobile apps through the full lifecycle to store release.
• Solid grounding in REST API integration, authentication/security, and offline-first data design.
• Experience with testing and CI/CD for mobile, and with mentoring/leading engineers.
• Rigorous approach to content accuracy, versioning, and change control.
• Strong knowledge of Dart and Flutter, and experience in another modern OO/typed language (Kotlin, Swift, Java, TypeScript, Angular)
• Experience with mobile fundamentals: widgets/UI lifecycle, async (Future/async-await), REST/JSON.
• Familiarity with Git-based Source Control, and Continuous Integration (CI) practices (e.g. Git Flow)
What else we look for (Preferred):
• Experience with Flutter or other similar ecosystem packages such as go_router, get_it, drift.
• Experience in another modern OO/typed language (Kotlin, Swift, TypeScript, Angular)
• Experience with regulated/quality-driven software (medical, automotive, aerospace, finance).
• Basic understanding of CI/CD and mobile app store release processes.
• Development of iOS (iPhone/iPad) and Windows Desktop applications using hybrid web technologies with offline support, i.e.: Apache Cordova, Ionic Capacitor, and/or Electron,
• Experience in Angular Reactive Form development with complex dynamic fields and validations
• Knowledge of automated Unit testing for Angular using Jasmine, Karma, and Angular TestBed
• Experience developing internal-facing enterprise applications with emphasis on business workflows and data utilization
