Description
We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Denbighshire to assist with the appointment of an Employment Coordinator, on a 3-month contract, highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.
Rate of Pay: £16.97 - £22.20 per hour
Summary:
The Employment Coordinator will focus on developing sustainable relationships with employers and creating opportunities including work experience, work placements, recruitment workshops, apprenticeships, work trials and employment opportunities. The post holder will also work collaboratively with internal teams, partner agencies and stakeholders to help participants overcome barriers to employment and achieve sustainable employment outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and promote the Working Denbighshire service by engaging with local employers and businesses to create and sustain employment opportunities.
- Act as a key point of contact for employers and positively influence attitudes towards recruitment and equal opportunities.
- Proactively develop and maintain relationships with employers across a wide range of industries and sectors.
- Negotiate employer commitments to provide work placements, volunteering, work trials and employment opportunities.
- Use labour market information, employer feedback and research to identify local employment priorities.
- Advise and signpost employers and businesses to appropriate support agencies.
Qualification:
- HNC level qualification or equivalent in Business Studies, or relevant experience within HR, Recruitment, CSR or Employer Engagement.
Essentials:
- Experience of working with employers and businesses to generate new business leads and manage relationships.
- Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with employers, businesses, partner organisations and stakeholders across the public and private sectors.
- Strong commercial awareness and understanding of workplace behaviours and attitudes.
- Proven ability to influence employers to provide work experience, work trials and employment opportunities.
- Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
