About HG
HG Insights is the pioneer of Revenue Growth Intelligence. For more than a decade, we have delivered comprehensive, AI- driven datasets on B2B buyers, technology adoption, IT spend, and buyer intent, sourced from billions of data points.
Today, we are a trusted partner to Fortune 500 technology companies, hyperscalers, and innovative B2B vendors seeking precise go-to-market analytics and decision-making. Through an evolving suite of AI agents that incorporate first-party data and buyer signals, HG Insights enables AI-powered GTM automation across sales, marketing, RevOps, and data analytics teams, modernizing GTM execution from strategy through activation.

About the Role
We're seeking a passionate and experienced Principal UX Designer to serve as our Head of UX, owning the user experience design process from concept to delivery. The ideal candidate is a strong advocate for the user, with a track record of creating intuitive, accessible, and engaging digital experiences — and is comfortable operating as a design team of one, balancing hands-on execution with strategic ownership. You'll be the primary voice for UX across the product organization, translating user needs and business goals into effective design solutions.

What you’ll do

  • Own the end-to-end UX design process, from initial research and ideation through wireframing, prototyping, and final implementation.
  • Conduct and lead user research and usability testing to deeply understand user behavior, needs, and pain points. Synthesize findings into actionable design insights.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to define product strategy, requirements, and features.
  • Create and maintain design deliverables such as user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups using industry-standard tools.
  • Champion user-centered design principles and best practices across the organization, ensuring design decisions are data-informed and user-validated.
  • Own and maintain the design system to ensure consistency and scalability across products.
  • Manage external design contractors or agencies as needed to supplement capacity.
  • Set the design function's standards and processes — critique cadence, research practices, tooling — even as a team of one, so they can scale as the team grows.

What we are looking for

  • 10+ years of professional experience in a UX design role, with at least 5 years in a senior or principal capacity.
  • A strong portfolio that demonstrates expertise in user research, interaction design, and visual design.
  • Proven ability to operate as a design team of one — balancing strategic ownership with hands-on execution, and managing competing stakeholder priorities without a team to delegate to.
  • Proficiency with modern design and prototyping tools such as Figma and Sketch; familiarity with AI-assisted design/prototyping tools is a plus.
  • Proven experience leading user research methodologies (e.g., interviews, surveys, usability tests) and data analysis.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate design rationale to a variety of audiences, including senior leadership.
  • Experience working in an Agile development environment is highly desirable.
  • A bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field is preferred.
  • Familiarity with GTM Intelligence and data platforms is a strong plus.
  • Significant overlap with US business hours is required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving, with the judgment to prioritize independently.
  • User-centered design and design thinking methodologies.
  • Information architecture and interaction design.
  • Empathy for users and the ability to advocate for their needs.
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration, especially in the absence of a design team to lean on.
