Role summary:The Senior Technician, Facility Services General Maintenance, ensures the safety, functionality, and appearance of facilities through routine preventive maintenance and timely repairs. This role involves diagnosing issues, performing major and minor repairs, and overseeing less-experienced associates while maintaining compliance with safety and quality standards. The position requires managing maintenance schedules, coordinating with contractors, and maintaining accurate documentation. The Senior Technician also delivers hands-on training, supports continuous improvement initiatives, and upholds company policies to contribute to operational excellence and a safe, efficient work environment.

What you'll do:
- Perform routine preventive maintenance and repairs on facilities, equipment, and fixtures to ensure safety and functionality.
- Inspect, diagnose, and document wear, damage, and repair needs using blueprints and manuals.
- Lead and train technician associates, providing hands-on instruction and overseeing work quality and safety compliance.
- Manage maintenance schedules, work orders, parts inventory, and contractor relationships to support operational efficiency.
- Operate heavy machinery and company vehicles following safety protocols and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure all work meets federal, state, and local codes and company standards.
- Compile and report budget and warranty information accurately.
What you'll bring:
- Proven experience performing preventive maintenance and repairs on facilities, equipment, and fixtures using multiple craft skills such as plumbing, electrical, and carpentry.
- Ability to diagnose issues using blueprints, repair manuals, and parts catalogs, and to operate hand and power tools safely and effectively.
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations including OSHA and EPA standards, with a commitment to quality and compliance.
- Experience leading and mentoring technicians, providing hands-on training and overseeing work quality.
- Proficiency managing maintenance schedules, work orders, parts inventory, and contractor relationships.
- Skilled in operating heavy machinery and material handling equipment following certification and safety procedures.
- Excellent communication skills to with managers, associates, and vendors.

The hourly wage range for this position is $33.00 - $63.00* *The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.

Minimum Qualifications...

Option 1: Vocational or technical certification and 3 years' experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related area.Option 2: 6 years' experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related area.
Valid state-issued driver’s license and ability to pass a motor vehicle report.
Commercial driving record with no convictions for DUI, DWI, OUI within the last five (5) years.
Commercial driving record with no more than two (2) moving violations in the last three (3) years.
No preventable accidents while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three (3) years.
No serious traffic violations, as defined by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations, while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three (3) years.
