Leonard's Express is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Warehouse Operations & Administrative Coordinator. This unique developmental role is designed for someone who wants to gain a complete understanding of warehouse operations and grow into an administrative position supporting logistics, transportation, and warehouse functions.
You'll spend your first several months learning our operation from the ground up as a forklift operator, gaining hands-on experience in shipping, receiving, inventory management, and warehouse safety. After successfully completing the training period, you'll transition into a warehouse office role where you'll support documentation, customer communication, reporting, and administrative processes.

What You'll Do
Phase 1: Warehouse Operations Training
During your initial training period, you will:
- Operate forklifts and material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload trailers and containers.
- Verify product counts and maintain inventory accuracy.
- Complete daily forklift inspections and report equipment concerns.
- Maintain warehouse cleanliness and organization.
- Handle products properly to minimize damages and maintain product integrity.
- Learn warehouse workflows, shipping, receiving, and inventory control processes.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
Phase 2: Warehouse Office Administration
Following successful completion of operational training, you will:
- Collect, organize, and scan shipping and receiving documentation.
- Perform daily audits of bills of lading, receipts, payroll records, and operational paperwork.
- Communicate with drivers and warehouse personnel regarding missing or incomplete documentation.
- Enter payroll and operational data accurately and on time.
- Answer and direct incoming phone calls professionally.
- Welcome drivers, visitors, vendors, and customers.
- Coordinate communication between warehouse, transportation, billing, sales, and other departments.
- Maintain accurate electronic and physical records.
- Support administrative reporting and special projects.

Requirements
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Previous warehouse, logistics, transportation, or administrative experience preferred.
- Forklift experience or willingness to become forklift certified.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel and Word.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- Team-oriented mindset with a willingness to learn and grow.
- Experience with transportation management systems (TMW or similar software) is a plus.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds regularly and up to 80 pounds occasionally.
- Ability to safely operate forklifts and warehouse equipment.
- Ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods.
- Ability to work in both warehouse and office environments.
- Comfortable using computer hardware and software throughout the workday.
