The Lending Tribe is responsible for transforming and continuously improving Lending products, processes and capabilities across Wholesale Banking. As regulatory expectations, customer needs and digital capabilities continue to evolve, we are looking for a Regulatory Change & Process Expert to help shape the future of Lending.
Your Role
As a Regulatory Change & Process Expert, you will combine expertise in regulatory implementation, process management and operational design. You will play a key role in translating regulatory requirements and strategic objectives into scalable, efficient and compliant Lending processes.
You will work closely with Product Leads, Business Experts, Risk, Compliance, Operations and Technology teams to design future-proof solutions that improve customer experience, strengthen controls and enable operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Regulatory Change
- Lead the analysis and implementation of regulatory and policy-driven changes impacting Wholesale Banking Lending
- Assess regulatory requirements and translate them into clear business, process and control requirements
- Coordinate impact assessments across products, processes, systems and stakeholders
- Drive implementation activities and monitor delivery of regulatory commitments
- Support internal and external audits, inspections and issue remediation activities
- Ensure regulatory requirements are embedded into day-to-day operations and product design
Process Excellence & Operational Design
- Design and maintain end-to-end Lending process architecture, aligning business processes, operating models, controls, data flows and supporting technology capabilities
- Support the design and implementation of Target Operating Models (TOMs) enabling strategic transformation objectives
- Lead cross-functional initiatives that require alignment between Business, Risk, Compliance, Operations, Data and Technology stakeholders
- Identify process inefficiencies, operational risks and improvement opportunities through data-driven analysis
- Facilitate workshops with stakeholders to define future-state solutions and implementation approaches
- Drive process standardization, simplification and automation initiatives across the Lending value chain
- Ensure process design incorporates regulatory requirements, risk controls and auditability by design
- Define and monitor process performance indicators and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Identify opportunities to leverage automation, AI and digital capabilities to improve process execution, knowledge management, control effectiveness and user experience
Stakeholder Management
- Act as a trusted advisor to Product Leads and senior stakeholders on regulatory change and process management topics
- Build strong relationships across Business, Operations, Risk, Compliance and Technology
- Communicate complex regulatory and process topics in a clear and actionable manner
- Facilitate alignment between strategic objectives, regulatory expectations and operational execution
What we are looking for
Experience
- 5+ years of experience in Wholesale Banking, Lending, Risk, Regulatory Change, Process Management or a similar environment.
- Proven experience delivering complex change initiatives in a matrix organization.
- Experience with process optimization, operational excellence or business transformation programs.
- Experience working with regulatory requirements, audits, controls and remediation activities.
- Experience working in Agile and product-oriented organizations is preferred.
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong understanding of Lending products, processes and operational workflows
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Ability to translate complex regulatory requirements into practical business solutions
- Strong process modelling and process improvement skills
- Experience with process mapping methodologies and tools (e.g. BPMN, ARIS, ArchiMate, Draw.io or similar)
- Knowledge of operational risk, non-financial risk and control frameworks
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities
