Description
Responsibilities
- Maintain safe work environment.
- Perform electrical and mechanical maintenance of LMFs, VTDs, Caster, Mold Segment Shop, and related equipment.
- Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues for LMFs, VTDs, Caster, Mold Segment Shop, and related equipment.
- Identify, design, and implement changes/upgrades which will increase the productivity or reliability of the process.
- Understand the steel making process and integrate this knowledge to improve productivity, quality, and reliability.
- Knowledge of medium and low voltage electrical systems, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, breakers and power distribution systems, motors, motor control equipment, instrumentation, PLCs and VFDs.
- Perform electrical and mechanical tasks requested by crew, supervisor, or management that ensure uninterrupted operations.
Qualifications
Required:
- Safety Oriented
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Basic electrical and mechanical knowledge
- Strong willingness to learn
- Willingness to work scheduled and non-scheduled overtime
- Strong teamwork focus
- Ability to work without direct supervision
- Ability to multi-task & prioritize work assignments with production needs
