What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, contractors, and/or drivers by carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government maritime transportation location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and authorized access, maintain visitor and contractor logs, and direct individuals to appropriate areas in accordance with established procedures.
• Respond to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document activities as required.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned access points, facilities, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity. Working environments and conditions may vary by client site.
• Report observed hazards, suspicious activity, damaged access-control equipment, and policy violations to appropriate personnel in accordance with site procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a TSA-issued TWIC.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
