Pilates Instructor (Casual) 

Forrestfield, Perth, WA 

Employment type: Casual 

Pay: $45 - $55 Per class

Hours: Rostered shifts, offered on an as-needed basis, no guaranteed minimum hours 

The Pilates Instructor provides safe, effective group Pilates instruction using the reformer and other studio equipment. 

Qualifications 

  • Certification through Club Pilates or a comparable education program 

  • Excellent customer service skills required 

  • Must be able to demonstrate effective group reformer instruction 

  • Excellent interpersonal skills required 

  • Must communicate professionally and effectively with clients and colleagues 

  • Must have excellent public speaking skills 

  • Must have proficient computer skills 

  • Valid WA driver's licence, proof of insurance, and access to reliable transportation. Must have a clean driving record and successfully pass a National Police Check. Occasional travel between locations may be required. 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities 

  • Provide Pilates classes, including group reformer classes, per Club Pilates standards and scheduled times (e.g. learning names, checking for injuries, cueing exercises) 

  • Skilled and safe use of a variety of equipment during each class, including hand weights, Exo-Chair, Reformer, Springboard and other equipment as needed for a safe, engaging group experience 

  • May be required to conduct private, semi-private, or additional sessions as needed 

  • Visually inspect equipment before each class to confirm it's in good working order and safe to use 

  • Responsible for studio upkeep, including cleaning the floor after each shift and leaving equipment in the required configuration for the next shift 

  • Other duties as assigned

  • Must be able to stoop, kneel, bend, reach, stand, walk, push, pull, lift, work with fingers, grasp, feel, talk, hear, and perform repetitive motions 

  • Must be able to lift 20 lbs (approx. 9 kg) and move/push equipment as needed 

  • Visual acuity required 

  • Must be able to stand for extended periods 

Work Environment 

No exposure to adverse or inclement conditions while performing the duties of this role.
