Description
ICON is a global healthcare intelligence and clinical research organisation united by a mission to bring new medicines and treatments to patients faster.
As a values-driven organisation, integrity, collaboration, agility, and inclusion are at the heart of how we work and interact with each other, customers, patients and suppliers.
What You Will Do:
- Lead the investigation and understanding of business needs, HR processes and system opportunities, translating requirements into clear functional solutions and user stories where appropriate.
- Own the design, configuration, testing and implementation of Workday solutions across HCM and Recruiting/Onboarding, with the ability to contribute across additional modules as business demand requires.
- Provide cross-module support and functional leadership for BAU activities, enhancements, issue resolution, release readiness and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Build strong relationships with HR, HRSS, COEs, IT, external partners and other key stakeholders to shape workable solutions and ensure alignment on scope, priorities, timelines and business outcomes.
- Act as a credible functional partner to stakeholders, using strong communication and influencing skills to challenge constructively, manage expectations and drive decisions where required.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts, technical teams and implementation partners to assess impacts, dependencies and solution options across Workday and connected processes.
- Manage user acceptance testing, ad hoc testing and production verification activities, ensuring robust test coverage and high-quality delivery.
- Identify opportunities to improve workflows, simplify processes, reduce manual effort and maximise the value of Workday across the business.
- Partner with IT and integration teams to review downstream impacts, troubleshoot issues and support sustainable end-to-end solutions.
- Manage and prioritise multiple streams of work simultaneously, balancing operational support, small enhancements and broader project activity.
- Contribute to HR Technology ways of working, documentation, testing standards, governance and continuous improvement across the team.
Experience/Candidate Profile:
- Degree qualified in IT, Business, HR or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong Workday configuration experience is essential, with proven hands-on capability in HCM and Recruiting/Onboarding.
- Experience across multiple Workday modules is strongly preferred; exposure to Benefits and/or Absence is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to operate as a lead functional analyst across BAU support, enhancements and small-to-medium change delivery.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication and influencing skills, with the ability to build trust and credibility across technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to balance detail, pace and quality.
- Experience in testing, UAT coordination, post-implementation support and change governance.
- Comfortable working in a global environment with competing priorities, multiple stakeholder groups and evolving module needs.
