About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to support the delivery of Project CHARM, a high-priority regulatory program focused on Complaints, Hardship, Design and Distribution Obligations (DDO), Breach Management, and Remediation.
Working within BOQ's Project Management Framework, you will play a critical role in driving delivery outcomes that enhance customer experience, strengthen compliance, and improve operational effectiveness.
Partnering with senior stakeholders, business leaders, risk and compliance teams, technology teams, and workstream leads, you will provide delivery leadership across multiple streams of work, you will influence decisions, resolve delivery barriers and take a hands-on role in progressing critical activities to ensure projects are outcomes are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned to regulatory obligations and business priorities.
Key responsibilities include:
Leading the end-to-end delivery of project outcomes, ensuring scope, budget, quality, and timelines are effectively managed.
Manage integrated plans, milestones, dependencies, resources, risks and critical delivery activities across the CHARM program of work. Monitoring project progress and providing clear, actionable reporting on delivery status, risks, issues, and key decisions.
Build strong relationships across the bank to influence outcomes, drive alignment and maintain delivery momentum. Prepare and coordinate program reporting, SteerCo updates, executive papers, decision materials and action tracking. Take a hands-on role in delivery, including developing plans and materials, coordinating inputs, tracking actions and closing delivery gaps. Leading and mentoring cross-functional teams, fostering accountability, transparency, and a strong delivery culture.
Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying lessons learned and strengthening delivery practices across the program.
About You
You are a confident and pragmatic project leader with a proven track record delivering complex regulatory, risk, compliance, or transformation initiatives within financial services. You work effectively in complex delivery environments, navigate competing priorities and combine strategic thinking with a willingness to undertake detailed delivery work
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
Proven experience delivering large-scale projects or programs within financial services, ideally across regulatory, risk, compliance, or customer-focused initiatives.
Strong knowledge of regulatory change, risk management, compliance obligations, and project delivery frameworks.
The ability to translate complex business and regulatory requirements into clear, achievable delivery plans.
Exceptional stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships and engage effectively at all levels of an organisation.
A hands-on approach, with the ability to coordinate activities, prepare materials, track actions, and proactively remove delivery roadblocks.
Strong analytical, planning, problem-solving and decision-making capabilities, including sound judgement under pressure. Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional teams and creating a culture of accountability and delivery excellence.
Experience working across Complaints, Hardship, DDO, Breach Management, Remediation, or similar regulatory programs will be highly regarded.
