The Group Retention Executive grows membership within existing accounts and for directly managing business relationships with client accounts. The Group Retention Executive work assignments are varied and frequently require interpretation and independent determination of the appropriate courses of action.Humana is looking for a dedicated, detail-oriented, and responsible Group Retention Executive who is looking for an opportunity for growth in a progressive organization.
The Group Retention Executive retains and grows membership within existing 2 – 99 Specialty accounts and for partnering with brokers and agents to manage business relationships with client accounts. The Specialty Retention Executive work assignments are varied and frequently require interpretation and independent determination of the appropriate courses of action.
Responsibilities Include:
- Oversee customer account management for existing 2 – 99 ancillary accounts, including negotiating contracts and agreements.
- Build relationships with brokers and agents.
- Achieve retention sales goals and add on sales goals for defined book of business.
- Develop and oversee customer retention campaigns.
- Product Lines: Dental, Vision, Life, Disability, and EAP
- Liaison between assigned clients and Humana internal areas for escalated issues.
- May represent Humana at community events, associations and industry organizations.
- Understand department, segment, and organizational strategy and operating objectives, including their linkages to related areas.
- Makes decisions regarding own work methods, occasionally in ambiguous situations, and requires minimal direction and receives guidance where needed. Follow established guidelines/procedures.

Required Qualifications:
- 2+ years' experience selling or retaining within the employer group insurance environment.
- Understanding of employer procurement process
- Client management experience
- Business and Financial Acumen
- Develop positive, collaborative client relationships.
- Active life and health license
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong communicator- written, verbal and presentation skills
- Bi-lingual (English/Spanish)
Travel: While this is a remote position, occasional travel to Humana's offices for training or meetings may be required.

The range below reflects a good faith estimate of total compensation for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. This compensation package includes both base pay and targeted commission pay. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location. Actual earnings will vary based on individual performance, with the base salary and commission structure aligned with company policies and applicable pay transparency requirements.
