Community Compliance Specialist

Job Summary
The Community Compliance Specialist supports the enforcement of association rules, policies, and governing documents for assigned communities. This role works within the Compliance Processing Center and is responsible for managing violation notices, insurance and rental tracking, homeowner communication, and accurate documentation of all compliance-related activity. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and able to provide professional customer service while upholding community standards.


Responsibilities

  • Process and track compliance cases related to violations, insurance requirements, rental policies, and other homeowner obligations.
  • Issue violation notices and follow up on responses in accordance with association policies and timelines.
  • Maintain accurate records, reports, and hearing documentation within the compliance system.
  • Support insurance and rental compliance campaigns, including outreach, reminders, and data management.
  • Communicate with homeowners regarding violations, policies, fines, deadlines, and next steps.
  • Assist with processing fines, delinquent accounts, and escalated compliance matters as directed.
  • Prepare compliance and violation reporting for the Compliance Supervisor or Board review.
  • Coordinate with internal departments (Accounting, Administration, ARC, etc.) to ensure proper resolution of compliance items.
  • Respond to homeowner inquiries and escalate complex issues when necessary.
  • Participate in process improvement efforts to enhance efficiency and homeowner experience.

Requirements

 

Qualifications & Skills

  • High school diploma required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 1–2 years of administrative or office support experience required.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and comfortable learning new software.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and follow-through.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Previous experience with HOA software (e.g., CINC) strongly preferred.

Preferred Attributes

  • Customer service mindset with the ability to manage sensitive homeowner communication professionally.
  • Familiarity with HOA/COA governance, policies, and compliance standards.
  • Strong problem-solving ability and accountability for assigned tasks.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
