What you will do:
The Senior PLC Engineer is responsible for the design, development, programming, commissioning, and support of industrial automation systems based on B&R Automation platforms. The role involves leading automation projects, developing machine control software, integrating motion control and Metasys CIM systems, troubleshooting complex technical issues, and providing technical leadership to engineers or SI.
How you will do it:
Automation System Development
Design and develop PLC software using B&R Automation Studio.
Develop machine control logic, sequences, and safety functions.
Configure and program B&R PLCs, HMIs, industrial PCs, and I/O systems.
Develop and maintain reusable software libraries and standards.
Create software architecture for complex automation systems..
HMI & SCADA Development
Design and develop operator interfaces using Metasys CIM/Pcvue.
Integrate PLC systems with SCADA, EMS, and Manufacturing Intelligence platforms.
Develop alarm management, diagnostics, and data logging functions.
System Integration
Integrate industrial communication protocols including:
Ethernet/IP
Modbus TCP
OPC UA
Interface with third-party equipment and field devices.
Project Execution
Participate in technical discussions with customers and stakeholders.
Review functional specifications and develop software design documents.
Conduct Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT).
Support machine commissioning and startup activities globally.
Ensure project delivery within schedule and quality standards.
Technical Leadership
Mentor junior automation engineers.
Review software code and engineering deliverables.
Establish engineering best practices and coding standards.
Provide technical guidance during troubleshooting and project execution.
Troubleshooting & Support
Diagnose and resolve control system issues.
Support production plants and customer sites.
Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
Provide remote and onsite technical support

What we look for:
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering / Mechatronics Engineering / Automation Engineering or Industrial Engineering
7+ years of industrial automation experience.
5+ years of hands-on experience with B&R or other PLC products.
Proven experience in machine automation and building management system applications.
Strong problem-solving skills.
Project leadership capability.
Customer-facing communication skills.
Ability to work independently.
Cross-functional collaboration.
Analytical and troubleshooting mindset.
Willingness to travel internationally for commissioning and support.
