C-P Flexible Packaging is a successful and fast-growing essential manufacturing company that uses an impressive array of digital pre-press and wide-web flexographic printing capabilities and extrusion and adhesive laminators to produce creative flexible packaging solutions for our customers. 

Our York facility is looking for a Press Supervisor for our 12-hour night shift 2/2/3 rotation, 6pm-6am.

As we continue to expand our operations, we are seeking an experienced and motivated Press Shift Supervisor to help lead our manufacturing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced production environment and is passionate about safety, quality, productivity, and employee development.

The Press Shift Supervisor will oversee production activities across multiple departments, ensuring operational excellence while supporting and developing a high-performing team.

What You'll Do

  • Oversee and direct all activities of the personnel assigned to their shift by walking the production floor consistently throughout the shift
  • Positively communicates production expectations and measures team and individual contributor performance toward the achievement of these expectations
  • Ensure achievement of safety, quality, production, productivity, and housekeeping goals for department
  • Promote a safe work environment that focuses on implementing policies and procedures as well as education to prevent accidents.
  • Maintain the accuracy and documentation of production reporting
  • Develop and maintain supportive working relationships with internal supplier, support, and customer departments
  • Assist the Scheduling Department in defining and maintaining workflow through the department
  • Ensure adequate supply of materials for your shift’s operation
  • Oversee department manning requirements including vacation planning and coverage
  • Oversee employee training
  • Must be available to work overtime and altered schedule as needed to support operation.
  • Assist in the development, implementation, and administration of written guidelines to ensure product quality requirements are consistently achieved
  • Embraces continuous improvement and actively participates both as a leader and contributor in the identification and implementation of improvement opportunities
  • Effectively manage personnel to support production requirements
  • Conduct employee evaluations
  • Oversee disciplinary action, as required
  • Direct staff personal development and training
  • Other duties as assigned by Management

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of manufacturing supervisory experience
  • Strong leadership and team development skills
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Experience managing production data, reporting, and performance metrics
  • Proficiency with:
    • Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint
    • ERP/MRP systems
    • Timekeeping and attendance systems
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills
  • Exceptional organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic manufacturing environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with flexographic printing, web handling, converting, lamination, and slitting processes
  • Experience in packaging or related manufacturing environments

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the production facility
  • Ability to climb stairs and navigate manufacturing environments
  • Ability to become forklift certified
  • Ability to use computers, phones, and related technology effectively

Work Environment

This position works in a manufacturing setting and may be exposed to:

  • Production equipment and moving machinery
  • Industrial noise levels
  • Inks, adhesives, solvents, and other manufacturing materials

Required personal protective equipment (PPE) may include:

  • Safety glasses
  • Hearing protection
  • Gloves
  • Hairnets and other food-packaging safety equipment
