JOB SUMMARY

The SalesForce Technician creates, maintains, the inquires, applications and automations. This includes the student experience module, Admissions Connect, Account Engagement, and Form Assembly. The SalesForce Technician is responsible for ensuring that the content delivered to students and potential students is accurate and up to date. They will also provide training on the use of SalesForce and provide technical support. This position is also responsible for making sure the data is synchronized with our SIS.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Installs, Maintains, and administers the Sales Force CRM and related computer systems of the College.

  • Installs, maintains, and administers client and server components of various computer systems that are used as part of the customer relations module. Ensures all installations are license compliant.
  • Implements the creation of applications, inquiry forms, and communications templates in SalesForce.
  • Implement duplicate record checking in SalesForce.
  • Setup program specific task lists, and document storage in the Student Experience module.
  • Do old record clean up in SalesForce and Account Engagement.
  • Analyses current processes and procedures and makes recommendations on ways to increase efficiency. 
  • Is the main point of contact with Sales Force and related contractors.
  • Responsible for the KCC database schema used in SalesForce.

Serves as the central technical point of contact for the Sales Force CRM.

  • Responsible for reviewing, proposing, developing, troubleshooting, and assisting departments.
  • Responsible for the day-to-day configuration, support, maintenance, and improvement of our CRM platform.
  • Manages user setup, permissions.
  • Responsible for customization of objects, fields, record type, page layouts, reports, and validations.

Ensures the overall quality of data by performing daily data quality control procedures.

  • Review and completion of data change request.
  • Checking and merging duplicate contacts.
  • Ensuring the necessary data fields are populated correctly.
  • Imports and exports data to/from the Jenzabar SIS.

Provides training for staff in the use of Sales Force CRM and other recruitment tools.

  • Provides onboard training for new staff.
  • Hold update training sessions at least annually.
  • Create and maintain process documentation for all aspects of the recruitment tools.
  • Provide end user support and troubleshoot issues when necessary.
  • NON-ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Directs the work of student workers.
  • Sit on various college committees as may be assigned.
  • If assigned, this position may require administrative work on grant-funded program activities and reporting.
  • Other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES NEEDED TO PERFORM THIS ROLE:

  • Ability to communicate technical concepts and ideas to individuals and large groups.
  • Technical knowledge of Salesforce, Account Engagement, Form Assembly, Admission Connect, and Jitterbit.
  • Ability to manage time, communicate clearly and concisely, document and maintain organization of work.
  • Ability to maintain a customer focus in providing technology services to the College’s community.
  • Possesses positive and professional outlook, personal integrity, problem solving ability and ability to manage stress.
  • Knowledge of College’s operations, needs, and goals.
  • Extensive knowledge in the use of various Microsoft Office products. 


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field; or four (4) years of professional consultative, technical, or administrative experience providing advice and leadership in the planning, development, coordination and implementation of information systems.
  • Experience with various SIS. 
  • Experience importing and exporting data.
  • Technical experience with Salesforce.
  • Knowledge of project management methodologies.
  • Automating electronic and non-electronic communications (i.e., Emails, SMS messages, and mail merge documents).


PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Infrequently lift and carry items up to 50 lbs., bends, stoops and kneels.
  • Prolonged standing and sitting and use of computers.
  • Requires frequent keyboarding and the use of fine motor skills for computer data entry and other administrative tasks.
