Raytheon’s Data, Analytics & AI (DAAI) organization is seeking an Associate Director, Data & Application Integration to serve as the senior technical authority for how applications integrate with enterprise data and AI platforms. This role provides strategic leadership, architectural governance, and cross‑functional alignment to ensure applications interact with, consume, and exchange data through secure, scalable, and governed patterns.

As the primary liaison between DT Application teams and the Data, Analytics & AI (DAAI) organization, this leader drives enterprise standards, consistent architectural practices, and sustainable integration architectures. The Associate Director defines integration strategy, shapes multi‑year platform roadmaps, and leads complex cross‑team engineering efforts supporting cloud modernization, platform consolidation, and mission‑critical analytics and AI initiatives. This position requires deep technical expertise, strategic thinking, and the ability to influence across multiple organizations to advance Raytheon’s digital and data ecosystem.

What You Will Do

  • Lead enterprise strategy for application‑to‑data integration and set technical direction.
  • Define and govern standards, patterns, and architecture principles for integration across applications and data platforms.
  • Drive alignment between DT application engineering, Data Engineering, Analytics, Architecture, Cybersecurity, and Infrastructure teams.
  • Establish strategy for APIs, event streams, ETL/ELT pipelines, data replication, and cloud‑native integration services.
  • Identify integration risks, redundant interfaces, architectural gaps, and opportunities to increase reuse and standardization.
  • Review and approve major integration designs through architecture governance
  • processes.
  • Ensure cybersecurity, resiliency, compliance, and performance requirements are incorporated into integration designs.
  • Influence multi‑year roadmaps for applications and data platforms to ensure technical alignment.
  • Mentor and guide architects, senior engineers, and technical leads in integration architecture and data interface design.
  • Lead cross‑team execution to resolve complex multi‑system integration issues.

Qualifications You Must Have  

  • Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 12 years of prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 10 years experience.
  • Experience leading large‑scale application‑data integration initiatives.
  • Advanced expertise in APIs, event‑driven systems, data pipelines, microservices, and integration platforms.
  • Strong knowledge of Azure, AWS, or GCP cloud services.
  • Experience driving governance and alignment across multiple technical organizations.
  • Ability to design secure and compliant integration solutions in regulated environments.
  • Strong ability to diagnose and resolve complex cross‑system data flows and interoperability issues.

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Master’s degree in technical field.
  • Experience in aerospace, defense, or other regulated industries.
  • Familiarity with enterprise data governance and metadata management.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. 
  • Experience designing integrations for modern data platforms such as data lakes, lakehouses, and event streaming systems. Examples include Snowflake and Databricks.
  • Professional certifications such as Azure Solutions Architect, AWS Solutions Architect Professional, TOGAF, or integration platform certifications.
  • Experience leading enterprise modernization or cloud transformation programs.
  • Ability to guide senior technical stakeholders through complex design decisions.

Remote: Employees who are working in remote roles will work primarily offsite (from home). An employee may be expected to travel to the site location as needed. The successful candidate for this role will be required to reside and work from one of the 50 U.S. states (excluding U.S. territories).

The salary range for this role is 157,200 USD - 298,800 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
