About the Role
We're seeking a Senior Manager to lead product innovation and experience design engagements, with a primary focus on clients within Health & Public Service.
Based in Canberra, you will work with senior client stakeholders to identify opportunities, define product and experience strategies, and lead multidisciplinary teams through discovery, design and innovation initiatives. Combining strategic thinking with practical execution, you will help government organisations respond to changing citizen expectations, emerging technologies and evolving policy and service delivery needs.
This is a highly visible leadership role requiring strong consulting, stakeholder management and commercial skills. You will help shape opportunities, contribute to business development activities and build trusted relationships with senior client leaders while mentoring and developing team members.
Key Responsibilities
Lead product innovation, experience design and strategy engagements from discovery through to implementation.
Partner with senior government stakeholders to identify opportunities, define priorities and establish strategic direction.
Lead human-centred design, service design and product innovation engagements within Health & Public Service.
Design and facilitate research programs, stakeholder interviews, workshops and co-design activities.
Translate citizen, customer and stakeholder insights into service improvements, product strategies and innovation roadmaps.
Lead multidisciplinary teams across design, research, technology and delivery functions.
Evaluate emerging technologies, trends and market opportunities to inform innovative solutions.
Oversee the creation of experience concepts, prototypes, service blueprints, journey maps and strategic recommendations.
Ensure accessibility, inclusivity, sustainability and customer value are embedded throughout the design process.
Develop business cases, strategic recommendations and transformation initiatives that improve public outcomes and organisational performance.
Develop executive-level presentations, reports and recommendations for client leadership teams.
Build strong client relationships and contribute to growth activities, proposals and opportunity development.
Contribute to the growth of Accenture Song's Health & Public Service practice through relationship building, opportunity identification and proposal development.
Support the development of team capability through coaching, mentoring and thought leadership.
Qualifications
Significant experience in product strategy, innovation, experience design, service design or a related discipline.
Proven ability to lead complex client engagements within consulting, agency or professional services environments.
Strong stakeholder management skills with experience influencing senior executives and decision-makers.
Experience leading customer research, discovery programs and strategic design initiatives.
Demonstrated ability to translate insights into practical recommendations and measurable business outcomes.
Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and coordinating work across multiple stakeholders.
Strong communication, facilitation and storytelling skills.
Commercial acumen and experience contributing to business development, proposals or growth activities.
Experience working with government agencies or large public sector organisations is highly regarded.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
