Introduction to the role

The Senior Customer Technology Manager (CTM) is responsible for shaping the customer's future technology roadmap and translating customer needs into business opportunities, product requirements, and roadmap priorities.

Working at the intersection of customer technology strategy, business development, and product management, the CTM builds trusted relationships with customer stakeholders, identifies future challenges and opportunities, and drives adoption of ASML innovations. The role acts as the primary bridge between the customer and ASML's Business Lines, ensuring that customer requirements are understood, prioritized, and translated into compelling solutions.

The Senior CTM influences both customer technology decisions and ASML product development by aligning stakeholders around a common vision and creating business cases that accelerate technology adoption and customer value creation.

Roles and responsibilities

Customer Roadmap Enablement

  • Own the understanding of customer technology roadmaps, challenges, and future requirements.

  • Anticipate customer needs for future technology nodes and translate them into product and service requirements.

  • Drive customer adoption of new products, capabilities, and services by demonstrating technical and business value.

  • Assess technical feasibility, define customer-specific requirements, and support validation of new products and installed base solutions.

  • Shape customer technology strategies through active engagement with engineering, manufacturing, and technology management stakeholders.

Voice of Customer

  • Represent the customer's perspective within ASML and ensure customer requirements are reflected in product and service roadmaps.

  • Consolidate customer input and communicate roadmap priorities, capability gaps, and emerging opportunities to Business Lines and senior management.

  • Support executive engagements, including Technology Roadmap Meetings (TRMs), Executive Review Meetings (ERMs), and strategic customer discussions.

  • Identify portfolio gaps and advocate for investments that address future customer needs.

Business Development

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities by connecting customer challenges with ASML's technology portfolio.

  • Build business cases that demonstrate the value of new products, services, upgrades, and productivity improvements.

  • Collaborate with Account Managers, Service teams, Applications, and Product Management to drive opportunity creation and technology adoption.

  • Support negotiation of technical specifications, performance requirements, and customer-specific solution configurations.

Stakeholder Management

  • Build trusted relationships with customer stakeholders from technical experts through senior management.

  • Influence decision-making across customer organizations and within ASML.

  • Lead cross-functional teams across Business Lines, Customer Support, Applications, Product Management, Service, and Sales.

  • Facilitate alignment between customer priorities and ASML strategic objectives.

Customer Success

  • Ensure customer technology requirements are understood, translated, and successfully implemented.

  • Monitor customer satisfaction related to product performance, roadmap alignment, and technology adoption.

  • Support successful technology node transitions and introduction of new products and services.

Education and experience

  • Master's degree in a related technical discipline.

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in semiconductor technology, equipment, process development, product management, business development, customer support, or a related field.

  • Minimum 8 years of experience engaging effectively with technical experts, business leaders, and executive stakeholders.

  • Minimum 8 years of experience working with semiconductor manufacturing, technology roadmaps, and customer innovation cycles.

  • Minimum 5 years of demonstrated success influencing stakeholders across organizational boundaries and driving complex, cross-functional initiatives.

  • Minimum 8 years of experience demonstrating strong communication, business acumen, and stakeholder management skills in customer-facing or strategic roles.

  • Minimum 5 years of experience translating customer requirements into product strategies, business opportunities, technology roadmaps, or portfolio decisions.

  • Position requires up to 10% travel domestic/international.

  • Valid driver’s license and passport required.

  • Routinely required to sit; walk; talk; hear; use hands to keyboard, finger, handle, and feel; stoop, kneel, crouch, twist, reach, and stretch. 

  • Occasionally required to move around the campus.

  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.

  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

The current base annual salary range for this role is currently:

$145,600-200,200

Pay scales are determined by role, level, location and alignment with market data. Individual pay is determined through interviews and an assessment of several factors that that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, relevant education and experience, certifications, abilities of the candidate and pay relative to other team members.

The Company offers employees and their families, medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Employees are able to participate in the Company’s 401k plan. Employees will also receive eight (8) hours of vacation leave every month and (13) paid holidays throughout the calendar year.
