Description
Job Purpose:
Managing the Group's scrap sales activities, from identifying and valuing scrap materials to negotiating with buyers, coordinating collection and loading, and ensuring maximum financial return.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the collection, classification, and tracking of scrap and waste materials across the Group.
- Identify and evaluate scrap quantities and types to support effective sales and pricing.
- Develop and maintain relationships with scrap buyers, traders, and recycling companies.
- Negotiate prices and commercial terms to achieve the best possible return.
- Monitor scrap market prices and trends for different materials.
- Coordinate with Production, Maintenance, Warehouses, and Security to organize collection, transportation, sorting, and loading.
- Monitor scrap sales, payments, and related documentation.
- Prepare periodic reports on quantities sold and revenue generated.
- Ensure compliance with safety and environmental requirements during scrap handling and transportation.
- Identify opportunities to improve scrap sales and reduce losses.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- 3–5 years of experience in scrap trading, scrap sales, scrap purchasing, recycling, waste management, or related activities.
- Strong knowledge of scrap materials, market prices, valuation, and trading practices.
- Experience dealing with scrap dealers, traders, recycling companies, or industrial waste buyers is highly preferred.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Good command of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
