About the Team:

The IT Project Technology Lead is a strategic professional at the intersection of technology leadership and business impact — a recognized subject matter authority who brings both depth of expertise and the foresight to shape directional decisions that extend well beyond their immediate domain. This is not a role for those who simply manage tasks; it is a role for those who understand how technology, people, and process converge to drive transformation at scale. The successful candidate will work alongside senior project staff, technology architects, infrastructure teams, and client-facing leadership to ensure that complex, high-impact initiatives are delivered with precision, clarity, and strategic intent. They will influence functional decisions through trusted counsel, champion process improvements that raise the performance bar, and serve as a guide and mentor to the analysts and practitioners who look to them for direction. Their work does not stop at execution — it shapes how Citi's technology landscape evolves, how risk is managed with integrity, and how the organization positions itself to meet the demands of an ever-changing global financial environment.

 

Responsibilities:

• Develops detailed IT work plans, schedules; project estimates, resource plans and status reports.
• Interfaces with senior project staff and client senior management teams regarding status of projects.
• Recommends and oversees process improvements.
• Has considerable business impact through in-depth evaluation of complex business processes, system processes and industry standards.
• Provides expertise in area and an advanced level of understanding of the principles of IT project leadership.
• Possesses a comprehensive understanding of how own area and others (i.e., architecture or infrastructure) collectively integrate to contribute towards achieving business objectives.
• Directly impacts the business by influencing strategic functional decisions through advice, counsel or provided services.
• Acts as advisor or coach to new or lower level analysts; allocates work.
• Provides in-depth and sophisticated analysis with interpretive thinking to define problems and develop innovative solutions.
• Persuades and influences others through comprehensive communication and diplomacy skills.
• Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

 

Qualifications:

• 6+ years experience in a technology leadership role, with demonstrated subject matter expertise in IT project delivery, systems integration, or software engineering within a large-scale enterprise environment.
• Proven ability to develop detailed IT work plans, technical schedules, resource estimates, and project status
• Strong analytical and interpretive thinking skills, with the ability to evaluate complex business and system processes, identify root causes, and develop innovative technical solutions.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical peers and non-technical stakeholders, driving alignment and informed decision-making.
• Sound understanding of risk, compliance, and regulatory frameworks applicable to financial services technology, with a track record of upholding ethical standards and escalating control issues transparently.

 

Education:

Bachelor's/University degree or equivalent experience, potentially Masters degree

Primary Location Full Time Salary Range:

$113,840.00 - $170,760.00
