Job Description Summary

As a Sr. Sourcing Manager in Supplier Quality Engineering (SQE), you'll lead and support initiatives across supplier quality, supplier management, and process improvement, with a scope that evolves alongside GE Vernova's business priorities. You'll own the end-to-end quality relationship with assigned suppliers: from qualification and audits to performance monitoring and continuous improvement. Your work directly shapes the reliability of the components and systems that power a cleaner energy future.

This is a senior individual contributor role with significant autonomy — you'll set direction, influence decisions, and bring together cross-functional perspectives to raise the bar on supplier performance.

Job Description

What You'll Do

You'll lead projects and initiatives across the following areas, with scope expanding based on business needs:

• Supplier Qualification & Performance: Lead supplier qualification processes, develop quality plans, and monitor ongoing performance using structured scorecards and improvement frameworks. Develop and implement action plans for underperforming suppliers, working collaboratively with vendor teams to meet GE Vernova's standards. Will be responsible for new Supplier & Product / Process Quality assessment for future Export and NAM market.
• Supplier Audit Ownership: Plan, execute, and follow up on supplier audits to ensure compliance and drive measurable, sustained improvement.
• Standardization Across Global Operations: Develop and implement standardized processes, specifications, and best practices across multiple factories to drive efficiency and consistency.
• Quality Data Management: Enhance the accuracy, structure, and usability of quality-related data in key business systems, including SAP.
• Product Quality & Process Harmonization: Drive initiatives to harmonize testing, qualification procedures, and supplier-related quality processes to improve product reliability. Reactivate and strengthen standardized quality and process control frameworks to ensure alignment across all business units.
• Special Processes & Key Commodity Competency: Build and maintain expertise and compliance with special process requirements and key commodity management within supplier quality.
• Supplier Communication & Change Management: Establish effective processes for supplier communication, ensuring clear and structured dissemination of critical updates, including specification changes.
• Supplier Product ROE:  Return of Experience update and sharing with Power Transformer factories in PT Business

 Who You Are

You bring significant hands-on experience in supplier quality engineering or sourcing quality, and you know how to translate technical findings into clear actions that suppliers and internal teams can act on.

Required

• Bachelor’s / Master's degree from an accredited university or college
• Significant experience in sourcing and supplier quality engineering
• Demonstrated ability to interpret engineering drawings and manage vendor quality requirements.
• Proven track record of leading supplier audits, qualification programs, and performance improvement initiatives.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to use data to support decisions and recommendations.

Preferred

• Experience working across cross-functional teams in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Familiarity with international manufacturing standards (e.g., ISO 9001) and supplier scorecard methodologies.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills — able to explain complex findings clearly and build consensus with internal and external stakeholders.
• Demonstrated project management capability, including planning, documentation, and execution of quality programs.
