Description
About First Connect
Our mission at First Connect is to keep independent insurance distribution growing in the right direction. Our digital marketplace gives independent agents access to 150+ top US carriers (insurance companies) and the optionality necessary to grow their businesses, selling home, auto, commercial, life, and more. We've helped tens of thousands of active agents get consumer-grade software at their fingertips, and we plan to accelerate our growth.
As a quickly growing company focused on helping agents and agencies win, we make sure our users have what they need to do their best work, wherever they work from.
Role Overview
This role sits at the heart of First Connect's agent experience. Carrier (insurance company) access is our core value proposition — it's why agents come to us and how they grow their business. You'll own how agents discover carriers, request access, and get to the point of quoting across 150+ carrier relationships, working closely with Product, Engineering, Design, and our US-based business team, plus carrier partners directly.
Because our carrier partnerships are growing fast, this isn't a pure-builder role — you'll spend real time coordinating access requirements and go-to-market timing directly with carriers and the business side, which means you'll naturally end up acting as an informal leader for a wide group of people who don't report to you. That's exactly why we're looking for someone who can genuinely inspire the people around them and bring them along — not through authority, but through the strength of their thinking and how they frame a problem.
We want people to want to work with you, not feel like they have to.
What You'll Do
- Drive Your Own Discovery: find and define problems yourself — through data, agent conversations, and carrier feedback — not off a backlog someone hands you.
- Drive Product Strategy - own the roadmap for carrier discovery and access.
- Decide what's worth solving, and defend that call with reasoning, not intuition.
- Own the Carrier Store end-to-end — the marketplace where agents discover and request carrier access — and the workflows behind 150+ carrier processes.
- Coordinate directly with carrier partners and our US-based business team on access requirements and go-to-market timing.
- Bring engineering, design, and whoever else is needed (finance, marketing, sales, support) into a shared story around a problem — influence without formal authority is core to how this role gets things done.
- Define and track KPIs (e.g. time from request to access, conversion), and prioritize by impact.
What You Bring
- You're currently or most recently working as a Product Manager, ideally 4+ years in.
- You're outcome-driven, not delivery-driven.
- You've owned a product genuinely end to end: your own discovery, your own data analysis, direct conversations with users and partners.
- You know how to influence without authority — getting engineers, designers, and carrier partners on board with your point of view through the strength of your reasoning and how you frame things, not through your job title.
- You're comfortable without a rigid playbook. We use bits of Scrum and Kanban where useful, but we don't standardize process across teams.
- You don't need deep technical skills — a basic understanding of how APIs and data mapping work is enough.
- You speak English and Polish fluently on a professional level.
- You're based in Poland, comfortable with having afternoon/evening meetings on a regular basis.
Nice to Have
- Scale-up experience — comfortable moving fast.
- B2B marketplace or insurance industry background.
- Genuine, hands-on experience with AI tools.
