POSITION SUMMARY:
Sugarbush Resort is hiring part-time drivers to drive for the International Employee Program and Housing Program. This position assists Human Resources and Housing with safely transporting international and domestic employees for arrivals and departures, appointments, errands, cultural activities, and other program needs. This position involves driving passenger vans and requires a commitment to safety. The ideal candidate has strong personable communication, reliability, quick thinking, and meets the age requirement of 26 years old in order to drive the rental vehicles. Weekend work is required. This position is part-time seasonal from mid-November to the end of April and pays $20/hour.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Drive to airports and other transportation hubs to pick up employee arrivals and drop off departures.
- Coordinate and drive trips to the Social Security office, banks, grocery stores, and other essential services.
- Drive for international employee cultural and recreational activities.
- Maintain communication with HR and passengers and follow approved schedules and itineraries.
- Keep assigned vehicles clean, fueled, and ready for use, and report maintenance or safety concerns.
- Assist the Housing Manager with transportation and other program needs.
- Perform guest service functions by answering employee requests and questions.
- Pick up and deliver employee mail or packages from designated facilities when requested.
- Respond to requests of Human Resources, Housing, and the International Employee Coordinator.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must have a valid driver's license and pass a DMV background check.
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent experience.
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, good multi-tasking and prioritizing abilities, a proactive, motivated work ethic and be capable of interacting with all Resort staff members.
- Must be comfortable driving passenger vans, including in winter conditions.
- Must have a charged and reliable cell phone during driving shifts and remain in communication with HR.
- Must be able to work weekends and holidays.
- Must be over 26 years old to meet driving requirements for assigned rental vehicles.
