As a Director in PMO / Project Management Managed Services Team, you will bring deep expertise in transformation delivery across IT, compliance and people change programs. You will be responsible for setting up and leading transformation teams, including the PMO practices, Project Management teams, driving thought leadership and sales activities within a consultancy environmentOur PMO & Project Management Managed Services Team, focuses on assisting clients that are going through large transformations ($100 Mil - $5 bil) by providing services that cover transformation strategy, transformation risk management, transformation program management or other related services. The core focus of this team is to work with clients that are going through large transformation programs and help them make these programs successful. We bring an integrated people, process and technology approach to these projects and can support the client from “strategy to execution” with their transformation program.
Meaningful work you’ll be part of
As a PMO & Project Management Managed Services Director, you'll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Oversee end-to-end delivery, including project economics, across multiple consulting projects and teams. Lead the engagement team to deliver high-quality results on schedule, within budget, and meeting client and internal standards
PMO set up and delivery experience including reporting on progress to c-suite sponsors
Manage an engagement team to the production of quality deliverables on time and on budget and in line with client expectations and internal standards
Lead pursuit teams and proposal development including innovative approaches and methodologies tailored to address specific client transformation requirements
Build new relationships and leverage existing relationships within the industry to identify large transformation programs where PwC can take a Transformation Risk & Advisory role
Building strong networks within the firm to spot help ensure our clients see the best of PwC
Identify gaps in the market and spot opportunities to create value propositions
Help clients develop business cases and justifications for transformational projects
Stay abreast of key industry developments both within Canada and globally
Understand the operational implications of client’s strategies
Grow and develop our team through hands on training and coaching
Define and develop new consultant assets and accelerators to support our services
Promote and encourage others to value difference when working in diverse teams
Communicate complex material effectively in written and oral formats to various audiences
Experiences and Skills you’ll use to solve
Proven experience in leading PMO / PM practices for large transformation programs / portfolio’s ($100M+ budgets)
Hands-on experience justifying, managing or delivering large business, compliance and IT transformations. Credibility with clients by demonstrating subject matter expertise and knowledge for Transformation delivery and associated key risks
Ability to develop and manage strategic client relationships while providing the highest quality client work across multiple client projects
Track record of leading sales activities, including business development, proposal creation, and closing new consulting engagements
Managing and delivering significant business results that reflects strategic and creative thinking, individual initiative and motivating teams
Extensive management consulting experience, with knowledge of strategy, operations, technology and AI to drive efficiencies
Demonstrated thought leadership in transformation delivery, including published insights, speaking engagements, or recognized expertise
An interest in upskilling for a digital world, technology trends and impacts of AI, an openness to learning new tools and improving operating models
Excellent leadership, organizational and verbal and written communication skills. Proven leader with extensive abilities to build solid and collaborative relationships with team members, foster a productive teamwork environment, and leverage diverse views
A demonstrated commitment to valuing differences, developing and coaching diverse teams, and ensuring diverse perspectives are heard
An MBA or CA and Program Management certification or equivalent is considered an asset

The salary range for this position is $168,000 - $218,000. The posted salary range represents the expected hiring range for PwC locations in major city centres. Given our national recruiting approach, ranges may vary for positions in other locations. At PwC Canada, base salary is determined by your skills, experience, qualifications and work location. In addition to base salary, eligible employees may have opportunities to participate in variable incentive pay programs which are designed to reward individual and firm-wide achievements. We are committed to offering competitive compensation and adhere to all relevant pay transparency legislation.
